    It/they all should have been under a preservation maintenance program, Engine runs, flight control functional s, batteries removed and charges, filters changed, all pitot covers etc.

    Why does Brisbane get all the fun? I'd love the RAAF to do that sort of thing from time to time in all the cities.

    It's where all the good planes are based but Darwin and Townsville use to see plenty of action :)

    The F-111s took off from RAAF base Townsville in '79 and came in from the ocean 200' off the deck "just" over mach 1 ..... oops, shattered many windows and killed MANY chickens :p

    I made up a stencil of a chicken and sprayed a few chickens on the radome :p

    DOD got a BIG bill from the chicken farmers :p
