They are never sold here at that price.

So the other $20K is the importer's markup, fairly modest IMO.

The same calculation for the Lotus gets it to $220K, roughly the price of a Cayman GT4.

 

I did read the article - the £75,000 is the UK price - with all their taxes (VAT etc), which clearly gets removed when it comes to Aust, and beyond the 5% import duty, it’s gets the 10% GST and then gets the punitive 33% LCT tax once it crosses the threshold etc. Then the importer/dealer needs their markup - how much they put on depends on their business model and volumes they want to sell.
If it gets in with the same ratio as UK pricing, I reckon it would be pretty impressive.
As a guide, the Evora starts at $180+k here and the UK price is £70k, so you would expect the Emira to be close $190+k.
But whom really knows? We’ll see hopefully in 18 months time (or less)

The starting price for the Vet is for the poverty pack for the want of a better term and before you add anything so a start closer to US$100K+ is more realistic.
