one thing I'm not crazy about is the upright seat position of the 355. it won't lay back like the 328 or California. yes the 355 Spider is nice, plenty of headroom where at 6'1" in the 328 you had to lean back out of necessity. not that I need the headroom, I just like a leaned back driving position lower in the seat. it also comes into play technical driving you aren't looking through the rearview for right hand turns.

appears there is plenty of room for the seat to lean back more, it is just at the end of adjustment.

Interesting. My 355 GTB certainly has that lean in the seats. I didn't know it to be different in the spider. I can check this on a spider next time I get to one but that probably won't be until next week at the earliest so hopefully someone else chimes in to confirm if the seats can go "all the way" back and not run out of adjustment.

I looked in the WSM and it didn't mention anything but... I wouldn't expect it to.

Looks standard I believe they are stop limited due to the folding roof mechanism, it’s a clearance issue, it’s the same with the 348 spider.

So the GTB and GTS will lean back more?

By far my biggest gripe with my spider. Wonder if theres a possible mod.. I don't drive enough for it to matter but maybe I would drive more? My back would certainly be thankful.

I remember back in 2011, I had the small trim piece off the side of the seat. I took one small part out and got way more tilt. Sorry as I didn’t take any pics.

It’s worth a look as it only took me 5 minutes.

Just checking in- this has been resolved Rob? I am waiting for the Spider to come back into the dealer and I can verify it myself.

No, but sounding like the GTB and GTS will lean back more. There is plenty more room for the Spider to lean back, but since the top movement only does rails and not tilt, I understand they wanted to limit it. Like Ferrari Fanatic says, then if GTB and GTS do it, should be easy for the Spider to do it. I will ask James at Norwoods.

GTBs and GTSs have completely different seats than the Spiders.
