I'm okay with it. Some race engineer updates are less useful than others. :)

In the end this turned into an ok defensive race for ferrari. Sainz took the inter strategy at the end, Lec tried to hold it out with the dry tires

Lando deserved a lot more today.

But both Lando and Leclerc gambled wrong.

Lando blew it by not listening to his team. Good on LULU for 100th. Max did a great job coming in 2nd(listening to his team). Driver of the day.Good on Carlos. Bottas lost in the weeds and totally deserving of a Alfa drive next year.

Well-earned race to become the first driver with 100 victories. Contested very well with Norris and I think that one would have gone down to the wire in the dry. Very impressive drive

    Superb race.

Disappointed for Norris. What a drive!
Ferrari on the podium!!!!! Carlos is my driver of the day!!

Rain brought us a crazy finish!

Bottas was ruined by the team. Long long stint and then pit what did they expect. Only the rain made a P5.

    Stroll LOL!! Gifted eh????

Crazy how only a few laps had giant spray. Alpha Tauri went from being the only team scoring points in every race to now 2 races in a row with no points. Aston Martin imploding again.

Amazing drive by Max to do damage limitation. Driver of the day. Could/should have been been far worse.

Game on until the final race. Fate will not allow any cheapies in this battle. I never considered how that 100th victory was playing into this run, but even while not celebrating you can see it meant a lot to Lewis. Now that’s out of the way, there’s a huge battle to fight.

Couldn't agree more. I think there was a window right after LH had switched to inters where LN could have done the same without losing a place. In the end it was the golden goose syndrome, Lando gambled and lost everything. He could've held his head high with a second place.

Norris getting real close to a race ban if he gets penalty points for that pit lane stuff

The early commenting of the race made it sound like Mercedes were less than perfect in their strategy. So wrong it appears. LH was on for a win before the race. Their strategy appeared accurate. Difficult to pass Norris appeared but this was not a bad strategy for Mercedes overall lol!!

Bottas went from nowhere to playing a role in extending the WCC lead.

Merc has not been clean in their strategies, but they got it right with the rain this time.

+1 Charles was catching Max before the rain came.

In his case I suppose it was ok that he gambled because he was going for the win. Even if he’d pitted don’t think he’d finish higher than 3rd.

anyone else think that the low downforce set up Max had was the wrong choice; there was even a real chance Lec (with high downforce set up) could have cought him at the end while it was dry

100% agree, he was going to be max. like 7th if he pitted; on the other hand if the dry tactic would have worked Ferrari would have covered the choice of sainz pitting for interns.

Paid off in the end. Bottas was screwed by the PU change and demoted. Thats a risk and they only got lucky with the rain.

Toto has collectively mis-managed him overall. 1 year deal, year after year is not a confidence build strategy. He was going to get the Alfa drive without any help from Mercedes from what I have been told. Russell needs to approach all this eyes wide open. If he does not appear strong early then have a nice season George! Enjoy your WINGS lol :)

Nice to have a driver like Carlos to bring home the best result in uncertain conditions.
