I suspect you’re right re: 296 since the LT more or less already hangs with the SF90. Regardless, they’d make a nice pair along with the C8 Z06, although I admit to being underwhelmed by the first official Z06 photo. Hopefully the aero package will help it some.

For me Pista and 765 Soider will be long term keepers. I’m debating if I want a 296 or the 720 replacement in a few years. Need to see pricing for both. I think I have the budget to add another 300k car but right now no rush to add anything till I get more situated. I think the 765 will be faster than 296 but who cares. My only issues with the 296 is that is it special/unique enough? But the same can be said foe the 720 replacement as well. Will it be special/unique enough.

I want to be very selective in what I buy going forward and frankly neither one might make the cut.

Comparing my sf90 to my pista - the sf90 is by far the best car I have ever driven. Harris got this so wrong.

I haven’t heard a single negative thing about the SF90 from anyone. Any owners actually.

I have not heard negative comments from any Pista owners, F8 owners, 812 owners, or current owners of the 720S, GT3, GR2/RS , TTS etc etc. Current owners of virtually every model are not likely to proffer negative opinions until such time as they sell it.

So far only issues I've heard are with the charging and the haptic buttons that get inadvertently pushed.

Bluetooth and iPhone connections are spotty. Haptic annoying. But ffs does it drive like nothing else. Brutally fast and controlled.

You are comparing a 720 to a Pista? That in itself tells the story on the 720. It punches way above its class.

Define better. Handling, braking, rigidity/stiffness, tech, steering feel. Overall performance, seating position, better visibility. Hmmm, looks like I described a 720 but maybe I am wrong. Lots of kool aid drinkers out there.

Aesthetics are subjective so lets leave this one alone and I like them all.

11 of the 13 tracks that are covered on fastestlaps the Pista beats the 720, including on the Nurburgring. Multiple listed lap times the Pista beats the 720 on the ring, which is one of the best benchmarks for handling, breaking and overall performance, maybe you should start drinking a different brand of cool aid.

The 720 is a great car but this consistent narrative that it is always faster then a Pista on a track and more capable is a false narrative. Less subjective and more factual please, we are not talking about styling.

Interesting you quote Car&Driver, the F8 in on their list of best sports cars for 2021 and the 720 is not.

So your answer is that the Pista is faster on the track and therefore better. Nice. For the record I've had both. You?

No quotes just an article for reference. 720 came out in 2017 as a 2018 model so it wouldn't make sense. With this said it's still a measuring stick.

sorry, have to agree with you on drivers position, sports seats in Ferrari’s are awful on track and street IMO, that’s why I now buy the new full electric seat, they provide a real drivers position.

I also owned a 720 (just sold for another incoming) abs currently own a Pista. First of all I love my Pista. Adore it. Have no plans to sell it.

Havibg said that, you are comparing a track focused Pista that came out 3 years after the 720, to a street oriented 720.

Both are fast cars, the Pista may likely be faster around the track. All I’m telling you is from my butt dyno, the 720 feels quicker and more responsive. The carbon tub makes a massive difference. I wish Ferrari would start utilizing one.

720 wasn’t on track tries…that will make a nice difference. Here at Sebring street PZero to Michelin sport cup 2 can and will be 3-4 sec … tires mean everything. The 720 was on PZero…ugh

sums up my sentiments exactly. The 720 is just not pleasing to my eye. You can’t utilize any of these car’s power and speed on a daily basis so I choose style over speed. Also, since exactly zero of us make money racing it’s best to get what makes you smile without the engine on.

The current dissent over which car and which brand is best. Read the previous 50 posts for more details on the mess I was referring to.
