Hello, Does anyone know if these brackets would work for mounting Recaro Pole Positions? I wasn’t sure if 360 Modenas were interchangeable with our cars. https://wedgebrackets.com/ferrari-modena-seat-brackets.html Cheers!
Perhaps this helps. Good luck! https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/threads/sharing-the-way-i-install-my-recaro-pole-position-seats.618825/
It appears mounting like noted above has the seat raised higher than stock. Does anyone know if the bracket in the link I first presented would possibly mount the seat lower?
I suspect if you cut off the rear bracket and had enough material for the holes in the front (in red) and the width is correct it would have the seat mount pretty close to the same same as OEM. Then its a matter of mount holes and bolt head clearance under the sliding rail to mount to the base pan (in blue). Its fairly easy to fab up or weld what is needed however. Also you could cut out the brace between the sliders making them independent like the oem ones. If you were local I'd do it for you. One item of nots it says that's knot the actual bracket so how the real one looks is unknown. Image Unavailable, Please Login
I appreciate your help! Let me ask for a picture of the actual unit (if they have) to see if it's usable.
Here is what I was provided via the 360 Modena floor board mounting dimensions: Front Side to Side – 16 1/8” Rear Side to Side – 15 3/8” Left Front to Back – 15” Right Front to Back – 15” Also, here is a pic of what the bracket looks like (not the actual bracket, though) Image Unavailable, Please Login
Use the factory seat sliders (remove from stock seats), gets you the right locations to the floor. Use adapter brackets to get up to the seat Bolt your seat to the adapter brackets That's how I was able to get the lotus seats to fit. Image Unavailable, Please Login
I only note because the OP of that thread says, "Current setting is a little bit higher than the OEM Seats. It will be the best to install it without rail", whereas someone else I know with PPs (who had a mount custom made), says he sits lower than stock.
A racing seat will have thinner padding than the normal seats. With a little bit of seat lean angle, I've added about 1.5-2" of headroom with those lotus seats on top of the frame rails. It's allowed me to go from not being able to sit upright and wear a helmet to having space above my head while on track allowing for some bounce in the car without impacting the headliner. The option for pole positions is to drill lower mounting holes in the side mounts and lower the seat until it's fully in contact with the floor or rails (which only add about .5".
