You’re in HK correct? Different market, but I would say manual 355’s are maybe 10-20% more than manual 360’s in the U.S. Just a ballpark guess. Of course condition, specs, options etc.. matter and if it’s a combo someone really wants, $25-35k price differences shouldn’t hinder a buyer. Rare desirable specs show up once in a blue moon.

Rob, I have been joking about the $60k mark. My full quote was that I would not pay more than $60k for any car I want. Like you, I drive my cars and $60k is the limit I place on purchases for auto toys. I hope these cars go through the roof, including the spiders. But I won't be buying another, regardless of price, and not likely selling at any price. I'm not a repeat buyer. I want to experience something different. And since I met Jeanne, 29 years ago, that leaves women out. :( My next purchases will likely be a Z3 3.0 or a Z3 M, or maybe a Honda S2000. As long as the top goes down. At 74+ I'm not looking for a 10 yr investment, just looking at today, and maybe tomorrow. But, I suspect your investment in dirt will do better than your estimate for the 355.

Oh I know John, no offense at all. You have been saying that for 7527 replies to this thread [emoji39][emoji1787][emoji1787][emoji1787]

I am going to wrap up my property deal, sell 2-3 more cars. Take a breather and then buy a 991 Targa with PDK or a California. Wife and I can share it - she retires in 3 years and will not feel weird driving to a county office [emoji51]. Cheers John. Always enjoy your commentary and low revs [emoji39]

I have worked with the best people in the Ferrari transaction world. I hope all of you get the same experiences. This deal is 99.9 percent done. Wire balance will be Monday and it could not be going to a better new owner. These cars are such great cars, we all know that. I wish I could be like John and still own my first car forever, but glad I get to experience the entire community of Fchat and Ferrari owners. Cheers!

991 sounds nice. Love my 981 with PDK except for the dam steel roof.

But getting cool up here in the NE. Not spider weather. Had the 308 out last weekend. I think 308s should be worth what Dinos are. :)

For me, I don't plan on selling either my 308 or 355. But replacing either with another of the same if I did isn't a consideration.

Also have to say I found Rob's add for his 355 refreshing. " I got this here 355. The price is XXX. You want to buy it or not?" as compared to, "I have this 355 for sale. Here are 1000 pages of records for everything done to it before I bought it and here is a list of what I've done to it since I bought it at a total cost of $xxx. I always wipe my ass before I get into it and just today I changed the air in the tires. Asking 20% more than I'll ever get for it." :D

What's a better drive? 308 or Dino? I don't know much about cars older than I am :p.

I couldn't tell you. I only drove a Dino once, back in '69. Belonged to a college friend. Back then I was a big fan of Trans Am racing and Mark Donohue/Rodger Penske, so naturally I had a 69 Z28 which was a bit stronger than the Dino the way mine was geared, if I'm being polite. :D My Z28 was one of 208 produced with the JL8 4 wheel disk brake option. Looked just like this one. Can't believe I owned a yellow/black car. Youth! It was legendary back at Penn State after I left grad school because I crashed it in a horse shoe curve coming back from the faculty/student party when I hit a patch of ice. Insurance wanted to total it but I had it put back together for about $1400. Sold it around '82-83. Bought the 308 as a replacement. But if you hit a shift in that car anything on the dash ended up in the back seat. I also had a good friend who lived in Reading, PA. One afternoon while visiting him we decided to see how it would do on a run up to the Pagoda where they hold the Reading Hill Climb, just for fun.

love this story, similar experience 35 yrs later. my college car was an e39 m5 never totaled it but came close more than a few times. Had a few small mods and would beat most 355s off the line. Kept it for 10yrs and traded it for the 355 in 2017- car was Le Mans blue if only I could have found a gtb in that color…

My F355 is Blue Le Mans. :D

Funny enough, I was bidding on a Le Mans Blue E39 M5 on BaT a couple months back too.

In all seriousness I have seen that spec get real close to that but not in Spider. Will be interesting to see if it gets close, it very well may!

The blue spider is my car. It's not for sale. It was just a tease at the $2000k barrier which some were saying we would see (for GTS) by summers end.
