Thanks for the suggestion, this is the offending curb, the trouble is it dips a good 8 inches on the way in, that’s why I thought the concrete solution would be the best approach and the council are quite picky here believe it or not [emoji849]I’m getting quotes tomorrow wish me luck, Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login

I'm sure there are a few experts on "8 inches on the way in" here that can offer advice...

Good point! My answer is, I don't know.
The disclaimer is at the bottom of the page to "Please check with your local council first"
The products I bought were for use on private land, so I never bothered.

This is what I did at my previous house. I didn't ask anyone for permission and it's still there today, 10 years after I put it there! I must have had good neighbours :)

Well that’s exactly what I had in mind initially, what was the thickness of the plate ? And how did you secure it, I thought silicone might work [emoji51]

I'm sure it was totally legal
Steel plate was either 8 or 10mm secured with 4 masonry bolts. It was a Gumtree special :D

With local councils, it's often better to solve a problem rather than ask for permission.

I'm sure you'll find that if you start to impede the rainwater flow your neighbours will do the complaining.

That was my solution when I was living in East Melbourne with the 308 (with Euro spoiler).

When I moved house there were 2 things that made the choice easy: garage that fitted both cars and the perfect crossover (and it’s extra wide) :)

And no it’s not just because the land is flat, it isn’t, my garage s a couple of metres above the road level but just all the transitions are done properly.
