Are the dealers doing the PPF and paint correct or are these all after market shops? It also looks like you can purchase different protection film as an option. Is that what people are selecting, or are they using an aftermarket shop to do the work?

Dealers pay aftermarket guys to come in and do the work and they mark it up.

Mine came with factory ppf in June. It’s currently having it replaced by local specialist as the finish was so poor. Factory just don’t seem to spend the time needed to do it right.

Good to know - i was reviewing the price spec sheet and saw the PPF options. It is so odd to think that a car at this price range would not come from the factory with the paint correction and ppf and do a better job there than aftermarket. Also, that it seems like across the board that no one has any issues with an aftermarket specialist ripping apart their brand new car to do the work...directly after the factory.

Do a lot of people opt not to have the exterior carbon fiber (due to cost) and then just have those parts painted piano black by the aftermarket guys ? I saw a video of that, and it looked very sharp. I also looked at the spec sheet, and reading this thread, it seems that is a pretty common tradeoff.

Also: is there a picture of the regular red next to a triple red...i keep seeing people say the triple paint is amazing...can you really tell from a picture or is it only in person

I assume you're referring to the application of PPF? Such work does not require any vehicle disassembly, except perhaps for an emblem or the like.

Guess so! This car was for sale at FoO recently however. Suppose they bought it for their own inventory?
