Local legend Bird Clemente driving a 250MM at the first running of the Interlagos 500 Miles, 1962. He shared this car with Celso Lara Barberis and Roberto Galucci. Don't know the s/n, but I'm sure someone will figure it out.

Primo Fioresi in what looks like a touring barchetta. One of the first great veterans of motor racing in Brazil, he was 79 (!) when he competed in the first 1000 Miles race in Brazil in 1956. This picture is from the 50's, date and event unknown.

This is 0139E ex-Prince Bernhard photographed at Larry Knaack's place during 1970s. Connecticut-plates date back to period of 1966-74. It seems to have been exported to USA in 1955-56 already, always residing in North-East USA and gutted for an American V-8, transmission and rear end in mid-60s.

Designwise this car is connected to a very small batch of new Vignale design ideas created in spring of 1951. Vignale had clearly been ahead of competition with their designs, but times were changing so fast that the line-up was quickly getting old-fashined.

0125EL was a fastback coupe, (soon wrecked in an accident), later iterations on s/n 0157EL, 0175E... etc.
    0127E was a clumsy-looking "berlina", with a copy built on chassis 0139E.
0131E was a sleek coupe variation of the theme, with a copy built upon chassis 0135E.

It is noteworthy that all these chassis frames were carrying E-suffixes, while those delivered to Ghia were still stamped with the earlier S-suffix (0129S, 0133S). This also makes me think that Vignale bodied 0151S was really a surplus Ghia frame, sent to Vignale after co-operation with Ghia had come to an end. It seems that dated Ghia designs were getting really hard to sell, and those two last cars were still sitting unsold at the factory in the end of the year and then given as "gifts" to Ascari and Villoresi for their brilliant performance in Carrera-Panamericana 1951 securing 1-2 finish for Ferrari despite numerous puntures on 1st leg . At least Ascari made some cynical remarks about these gifts after learning that full list price had still to be paid...

The #117 car isn’t Robert Pote’s PBS Special. The PBS Special was a modified 1950 Crosley Super Sports. Although Pote and the car’s previous owner (Hal Stetson) made a number of modifications, the car retained most of its Crosley body, and didn’t look at all like the #117 in this photo.

The 500 Superfast could well be 6033SF. If so, this I believe, was the first of them to receive the 3 vents in the fenders.
