In the 2nd photo, the yellow Fiat X1/9 is Sue's (my wife). The SWB with license GTB 27 is most probably Jim Riff's #2177. The red cabriolet is #3633. In the last photo, the car with the GTO-like nose is actually 330 LM #4619. I had a ride in that car that day. Stupid fast! Over 100 mph down a Chicago side street! I think #6033 may be correct for the 500 Superfast.

What I love about revisiting these photos is that they are a window into Ferrari ownership of the time. SWB bumper crooked? Don't care. Lusso missing its backlight chrome? Ask someone who cares. It was better back then.

Another one from the vault, this time 4279SA from Oct 1971 still wearing its original colors of smoke gray over green interior. That's my father on passenger's side and Elvidio Grande at the driver's door. Man in pink shirt likely Elvidio's brother Mario and peering under the hood is Elias Saadi who had just purchased the car from Elvidio in our driveway.

Saadi bought 4279 SA on 9 August 1971 through Viviano Corradini of Milan (Grande's Auto Palace acted as broker).

Photo captures the day of the transaction. Oct 1971 was the date the film was developed so image itself was from earlier in the year.

Also I believe Auto Palace was known as Britalia Motors at the time

IIRC Dr. Saadi had the car painted Rosso Corsa sometime in the 1980s? I believe that Mike Sheehan brokered the sale sometime in the late 1990s.

It was never red actually - Joe Piscazzi painted it white in 1988. Dr Saadi had already dyed the leather from green to black by that point.

I think you are correct about Sheehan brokering the car in the late '90s

Bob I must be confusing it with Dr. Saadi's Daytona, originally blue then red?

Saadi sold 4279 SA on 16 November 1998 to the current owner who paid US$ 215'000.

Interesting to see it with the wood steering wheel now. It had black leather wrapped wheel with holes in spokes in '71.

It also had the deeper Borrani wires on it at the time

412P #0854 getting its perspex windows removed in the video here due to fumes in the cockpit at Brands Hatch, 1967.

0854 seen here also with the P4s.

I assume it’s Dudley Folland in the Manx Cup support race. Then the date would be, according to my archives, the 25th, not the 26th.

Folland indeed had race number 19 in the 3° Manx Cup on May 25th. Then the car is a 166 Spyder Corsa and not an early 125 F1.

Nice but a rebody into a "Barchetta Touring" look-a-like by Carrozzeria Medardo Fantuzzi in Modena done in 1968 for Pierre Bardinon in France.
