Does anyone know if the Jota edition has all sold out yet? It is still showing as 'enquire' on the Kidston website, so it's makes even less sense to advertise one at £50k if there are still a few copies remaining available for RRP.
Wow, but when he or she is successful in selling that book at this crazy price, for that revenue the seller then could buy round about 15 copies of the Ferrari Monza book! And when he or she sells those copies at ten times the price as well ... In Germany, we have a saying: hope dies last (is that used in English as well?).
Being the benevolent sort, always looking out for the good of my common man, I'm here to offer up my own copy of the same book for half that. Act NOW and I'll even throw in "free shipping"!...
Best of all, guess who the "idiot" selling the book on eBay is? It's "hgreg91" from ... guess where? ... right here on Ferrarichat! See the book serial number (#27/75) on the eBay listing and post #266 in this thread for confirmation. https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/posts/148079923/ https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/175007657359?hash=item28bf44ed8f:g:TJIAAOSwqj9hg7qQ&mkevt=1&mkcid=1&mkrid=711-53200-19255-0&campid=5336838664&toolid=10001&customid=kvn22h00hs000k3x00004
Seems like at a 50,000 UK pound asking price Kidstons' not the only one looking for a large slice of that very rich cake.
Good for them. No one is making anyone buy it. The Miura book in all versions was available to anyone that put their name on the list. As an aside, I found it absolutely staggering that for the 762 produced, they didn't all go to owners. I love books, I love to read, I have no interest in books as an investment, that can be my beneficiaries problem. Good luck to those that do make money trading books. Having said that, I think the Miura book was the buy of the century. I cannot believe with all the research that book swallowed over who knows how many years and there's only 762, it was 550 pounds with the register included. Amazing.
Great to have some of your knowledgeable input here buddy. I know you're a long time book enthusiast and have a vast collection of all marques in your library. Agreed. I only found out after watching the Hortons Books video on Youtube, and I'm sure Steve can attest to this, but apparently the Kidston team contacted all the current owners of Miura's prior to the books release to allow them to buy and choose their specific book chassis number. So having said that I'm even more surprised that so many of us secured a book after the lion's share was pre sold.

We wrote to some owners alerting them that the book was imminent and reserved the relevant number for them for a limited time. Not all took the offer up. None were 'pre-sold' - only a few were kept aside for owners we knew would want one but lead busy lives. There was a time when it was easily possible to buy a book. And we have Registers left. We are delighted with the RAC win and SK is at pains to point out it that was a group effort with a superb job done by Jon Pressnell, aided by a team in the company led by Emanuele Collo and many, many contributors the world over. The award is dedicated to the whole 'band of brothers' responsible for such a superb book that took years to get over the line.
I do not expect to get anywhere near this, and I suspect it’s probably worth around list price, maybe a touch more given that one of the original books sold for just over £5k recently. However, it’s a free advert and if an Arab prince has a lucky number 27, you just never know!!! I will most likely keep this forever. It’s a work of art.
