That sounds like the biography of Paul Daniels!

That story already has a Ferrari but no crime as far as I am aware.

At the Ni-Cola auction in November in Ladenburg, a copy of the TASCHEN book is for auction at a limit price of 3,000 euros (+20 per cent buyers premium), while TASCHEN still offers the book for 5,000 euros at their website. Will be interesting to see whether the book will be sold even at the lower price.

My copy just arrived as well. Very well produced and I see Classic Car have a write up in latest edition.

No commercial association what so ever just an interesting story about a father and son's passion, and later business, for motor book collecting.

For Nembo aka Marc Sonnery: today a very nice article about the Mangusta in FT Weekend supplement How To Spend It. Nothing new to you, but interesting for many readers.

I miss the FT. Paper delivery is no longer available where I live...digital only. No, thanks.

Thank you Bloomberg, nice little article and I guess in FT one should expect value to be a central theme in the text.

The TASCHEN book was auctioned off at Ni-Cola for (incl. buyer's premium) for 4,999,68 euros, so the buyer saved 32 cents compared to buying a still-available new copy directly from TASCHEN. Crazy world ...

    That's so funny !!

I'd imagine he'd need to either pick it up for the auction house or still have to pay to have it shipped to him.

Besides the 141 numbered copies in English, there are 38 copies in Italian, always numbered: no differences at all with the English edition, only the language.

There won't be any other language edition, ever.

Here you are the copy 1 of 38 in Italian, at my home.

    Ciao

    Ciao Alberto,
my copy (#20) just arrived safely and well-packed. I will look through it on Sunday, but what I can say already at first sight is that the smell and quality of leather is just perfect.
And many thanks for your very kind words which you wrote into it for me.
