Car looks beautiful Steve, if you don't ned to sell perhaps wait for the new one to arrive in case you like the 355 better. I can't think of a better car than a 355!!
Thanks, Kim. That's kind of the plan, but I can't help but think that as I'm not a BTC having two silly cars is probably a bit, well, silly. We'll see what happens. More than likely I'll put the 355 up for sale around Feb. If I don't get any interest it certainly wont be a hardship to keep it. I'll just need Gary to come around and build me a bigger garage...

Having no friends has never bothered me. Truth is, I've been hoping and praying that 458s would come towards me from a "what can I afford" point of view, but the opposite has happened. They are now out of my league. And nothing else Ferrari makes that I can afford interests me. I'm quite impressed by what I've seen of the Emira. It looks good, and is quick enough without being silly. It's a mid-engine, RWD, 400hp manual car that is similar in size to a 355 and weighs a little less. What's not to like? I think so. The cheapest Ferrari is 2 and half times as much (I specced up a Portofino earlier this year and it was around $520k. And when they take the p155 by charging an extra 5k or so for Apple carplay that's ridiculous. Plus I actually think this is better looking. In a way, it's like a modern 355 in terms of size and power. And (Simon will be happy) I ordered an old fashioned manual. OLIO. Although it is, of course, coming from the UK...

No, Chin. It's a V6. The "First Edition" which I've managed to secure is V6 and available in manual or automatic. There will be the AMG engined 4 cylinder car available in 2023 which has a DCT trans, and around 360hp. That will be around $160k + on-roads from what I understand. Perhaps while Gary is here building a garage he can also put in a pizza oven...
All Lotus have said at this stage is that the two engine options will deliver "between 360 and 400hp". Given that the V6 is 400hp and the 4 cyl will be positioned below it, I'm assuming it'll be around the 360hp mark. It could be more than that, but it will be less than 400hp.
