JayEmm is clearly a man of taste* and he is taking good care of his high-mileage 550 and has just invested £12k into it. Would like to know more about the intake plenum refurb as it looks good from a distance but I have always read on here how difficult is is to get a perfect crackle finish, which I have always assumed explained why so few owners bother with this but there is nothing finer than a factory-fresh Maranello engine bay. The second link from Jack at Number 27 talks about how much the previous owners spent on it.... yikes. * in cars
I like Jayemm's videos but his aristocratic oh-so-British communication style is somewhat cringe-worthy. His commentary is good though.
Having the intake manifold refinished but reusing the old rusty bolts... certainly a petty comment considering how much has been spent anyway, and nice to see how much love this car is receiving. Good to hear too that the issues reported are nothing exotic and easy fixes.
I really like Jayemm's presentation style, language, tone, and cadence. It sounds closer working bloke to my ear without the typical Hollywood caricature. He also is a member on this website.
