I can answer. I had 3 at a time at one stage. But it's not the same as your scenario. The Lotus will be a modern car. I'm yet to drive a modern car that is anywhere near as interesting To drive as a 355. Signature www.pless.com.au/mechanics.htm
Im sure you’re right. And that’s why I’d like to keep both. Let’s just pretend I’m trying to sell the 355, FFS!
As I have said, you need 5 cars. 1. A classic car 2. A modern fast car 3. A track car 4. A family / practical car 5. A Ute Sent from my iPad using FerrariChat
I’ll never need a Ute. Strictly for bogans. Or the help. I agree with 1) A practical car for everything including taking the dogs everywhere. Golf R wagon. Job done. This ticks your box 2 and 4. 2) A modern sports car. Emira. Or a Porsche if you’re boring and predictable. 3) A classic car. Agreed. But everyone’s idea of a classic car is different. Is a 355 a classic car? Or does it have to be older? A track car? Would be nice, but definitely an indulgence only for those whom can afford it and have the time to use it regularly. Otherwise a complete WOFTAM.
Just hold off for another two or three years and everything will come back to reality and you will able to afford one.
Sounds like your heart is set on selling it mate, so go for it. It's the best time to sell a Ferrari (and everything else) at the moment anyway. Money is cheap and hard times are coming, so get out of it while you can if you are already thinking about it.
+308 Especially the ute. I had never owned a ute in my life until around 10 years ago and in that time I've owned, bought and sold around 20 of them. I will always have a ute in the family now as it's worth it's weight in gold to me. (Currently own a 2017 dualcab Hilux)
The Golf R ticks the practical box, not the modern fast. The Emira ticks the modern fast. The 355 definitely ticks the classic to me. Track cars are great fun, and don't have to be hugely expensive; my Clubby or Gezim's MX5 are great examples. Everyone needs a Ute. My only comment on selling the 355 would be to be positive you don't want another Ferrari; like real estate, once out of the market it is hard to get back in.
I want a small jet with cup holders and enough room for two big suitcases ...... don't care about colour, only poofters worry about colours
Doesn't mean I can't use it. Although it doesn't work the other way around, she can't use the Ferrari
Mate don’t look at me I’m just a total hoarder..I don’t even have a CAMS licence so Ian will have to drive my race car…I do think though if you put the 355 into a beach house it will still give you enjoyment in a different way…
