    Selling my 1982 Mondial 8, rare Argento with black interior, one of 703, only 136 were sent to the USA. Very special car which I had intentions on finishing but I have another more important project. Here is all you need to know, starting with the not so great:

    Needs full repaint. Areas of fade on roof, minor rust spots on few panels, including doors.

    Sunroof does not work, didn’t go into it so not sure what it is.

    Right side headlights sometimes blinks. Same, not sure if needs new motor or just lube.

    Emergency brake is inop.

    Odometer stopped working 5 months ago. Mileage is estimated to be at around 24,600.

    Car is sitting on older tires that are showing their age.


    Now the Great part.

    Entire chassis/brake system, and engine was restored. See photos, everything that needed replaced was replaced, previous owner had his own repair shop and spent a ton getting it there.

    The underside of this car is cleaner than any other Mondial I have ever seen. The engine you can eat off of. No leaks.

    Full major service in 2016, valve covers were powder coated recently.

    New clutch.

    New Nuvolari exhaust with straight pipes.

    New window motors

    Front euro bumper installed

    Leather re-dyed, interior is near mint, but driver’s seat showing a few cracks.

    Very low mileage car.

    Comes with original window sticker, clean Ohio title where car was originally sold (Midvo Ferrari in Dublin) and remained its entire life.

    Clean Carfax history, never in accident.

    Some service records

    Original tool jack kit

    Original owner’s manual with correct stampings in excellent condition cloth pouch

    Both sets of keys with an extra set with Ferrari keyfobs. Comes with box of spare parts also.

    Car runs and drives great, sounds amazing. Just needs cosmetics to take it to the next level.


    Pricing it at first $27,500 takes it. Could be a great project or drive it as it is and do the paint later.

    I would definitely replace the tires. Might be a good time to consider the newer 16 inch Cromadora replicas or even a newer bigger Ferrari wheel set.

    Wow, I wish this was available last year when I was in the market. It won't last long at that price.
    I hope it goes to an enthusiast here and not to a flipper who will sell it on BAT for 50K.

    Hello,

    I am aware of the lower number of Mondial Coupe's vs Cabriolets here in the US. Is that the reason for their recent price run up?

    Kind of a a head scratcher. And I love the Mondial Coupes.

    You’d have to graph 8’s, QV’s, 3.2’s and T’s to truly show the slide up. 8’s always linger at the bottom though (obviously).

    Just my luck. Day before you posted that this was still available I just bought a similar aged car that is nowhere near as good a condition as this. Hope you manage to sell it quickly.
