A mechanic who converts F1s to manual, similarly to the other companies, but he uses a different ECU tune to better the response of the engine (that I'm aware is a known issue with manual 599s). He's converted 2 as of now, with the third being worked on right now.

Ahh this is Will and Sandy DeGroot's shop. Both members here with great reputation. I believe they did @Qksilver 's car.
One thing I don't like about EAG is that they never give @360trev any shoutout in their vids and make it sound like they sorted it all out when all the ECU stuff was done by him. Case in point is their 430 Scuderia conversion video on Youtube. After not being able to get the electronics work and dumping the car, magically they figured it all out through real grit.

Relax don't sweat it, AFAIK we are actually supplying pretty much all 599 gated conversion firmware's these days as you need to use your original firmware that your 599 came with and adapt that, it won't work to use any old firmware on a 599, so that requires specialist experience and tools. It is quite pointless to single out just one supplier for we supply everyone including Exoticar, EAG's and various other shops who happen to try (normally they fail, then try to order gated ecus (which are now a restricted part and cannot be purchased and even if they did they wouldn't work either as there are scores of differences between model years and the individual cars firmware encodes all of those changes) and then eventually seek us out. So as you can see the electronics side of things is pretty tricky to resolve and requires a lot of experience to work out what needs to be modified to do it reliably. Its not just engine ecu's but quite a few steps are involved to do it to a factory level without any fault codes.

Factory vs Aftermarket Gated 599's
Kind of funny really but even the factory (rare) 599 gated cars didn't get calibrated correctly at the factory and as a result they tend to "bog's down" between gear changes. We rectified this and did the necessary changes to improve the 599 gated conversions vs a genuine factory h-gated car (done in a similar fashion to what was done on other gated Ferrari factory cars) so the rev's are "held" a bit longer to give you proper time to change gear. This is especially important on a 599 as otherwise they drop very fast and the gated experience isn't as enjoyable...

In other our words gated 599 conversions are actually more enjoyable to drive than those from the factory
