So after days of Mercedes and Hamilton telling the RB’s are way faster than their car, and all the Hamilton fans copying this everywhere again there is a Mercedes on pole. It is getting really annoying how Mercedes and Hamilton act. The myth of him being the Goat has to be preserved at all costs so it seems. When Perez gets close to Hamilton he has to have a much faster car, because Hamilton is way quicker than Perez…. When Verstappen overtakes Hamilton he must been lucky and it’s Bottas fault he didn’t do his job right and let Verstappen go by. It’s so disrespectful to the others drivers it is getting embarrassing to read. And yet he tells he thinks Verstappen should show more respect… It makes me think about The Emperor's New Clothes. Maybe Russel will bring him back to reality.
Is it possible his engine was turned down to protect it (and they have admitted concerns about it)? Perhaps he can just drive hard with the engine change for the last four races. Maybe they felt there was more to lose by nursing a compromised engine until the end of the season than taking the penalty in Brazil. Seems reasonable, imo....Max, fwiw, qualified ahead of Bottas.
Horner mentioned this during qualifying with regards to engine degradation. Mercedes is experiencing more engine degradation than RedBull. It obvious when Lewis or Bottas gets a new ICE unit, they are faster for a couple of races, then the Mercedes "dwindles" down a bit. I really don't know how Horner knows this....but he does. If you look at the engine component allotment for 2021, Mercedes is experiencing more allotments on the ICE unit than RedBull.

We shall see… I am expecting a grid penalty for the ICE. If the the wing is a problem too then he should get penalized too; not sure if Hamilton would have been made aware of such cheat but if he is Shame in him. What’s funny to me is you guys saying , Hamilton is poopoo… then if he is where is the glory that max would have to be in being WDC in a largely equally efficient car this year? My point is that he is great (Ham that is) and by saying that it only will value even more the championship max is likely to get . Mercedes is factually speaking the faster car overall this season. He's already beating Lew. If merc feels the need to cheat to try and get ahead....

Overall speed. Prior to Mexico quali merc was 0.05 behind red Bull, but both qualies they've been well ahead. So balance shifted to merc again. A few races this year merc has had clearly the fastest car and a few races red Bull clearly fastest. Apart from then it's been tug of war between them with no real advantage. On the medium tyres however merc has clearly had upper hand all season with the exception of Mexico. The difference between the cars is tiny. I wouldn't confidently call either car "clearly the best". Mercedes had a clearly better car 2014-2020.
Agreed 2014-2020 but overall this year to ME it’s a wash. Merc also struggle following cars which is , I guess a weakness of the package Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Every car struggles following others. The facts support that between the merc and red Bull there is very little. The facts support that both merc and red Bull had a few weekends where they where untouchable. The merc is the easier car to drive. Max is maximising the car, Lewis is underperforming more often than not and incredibly lucky at times.
