I think all of the cars are faster with a new PU. It’s like new tires versus ones that are 10-laps old. I don’t think any other driver would have passed Max even with a straight line speed advantage
Good drive from both Lewis and max. That Mercedes is all of a sudden a rocket ship. It hasn’t been like that all year. Just saying. It looked like their advantage at the start of the hybrid era. Red Bull better figure out something or they will lose this.
RedBull need to provide some proof or shut it. Their constant little complaints are needless and tiresome. Put up proof and file a protest. Or better yet just shut it if you have none.
+ 1 Not only drove him off the track but almost killed him. And took away a chance for at least 19 points and ruined one of Max’s engines.
Another good points haul by the Ferrari boys in basically a 2-year old car. I wonder if the people who were ridiculing Sainz for moving from McLaren still think he was wrong.
It's no secret that I don't like the guy, and he is definitely helped by his super-engine, but WHAT...A...RACE by Lewis! Great driving/damage limitation by Max too. Good to see another solid race by our two boys! Forza Ferrari!
The Hamilton bit didn't change, the engine bit did. It's a mechanical sport. The overspeed Mercedes currently seem to have is unreal. It reminds me of these past 7 years, when Mercedes just turned up the power in Q3 and drove off into the distance in the race.
This degradation thing is just a story to divert attention from something else... They were testing something on Bottas with all those engine changes and now Hamilton is taking advantage of this new engine.
LH under investigation for undoing seat belts on the in lap after the win. Possibly when he picked up the flag.
MB might as well opt for a new PU every race and simply take the 5 slot penalty. With that much performance advantage, there’s simply no way for RBR to answer.
