I'm in the O&G Engineering sector.....our part of the industry is imploding quickly as even though the price of oil is pretty good, there are very few green field projects out there. The only money being spent is on maintenance, which signals to me that oil companies themselves might question any investment in O&G going forward.

If you own a Pista, you can afford the gas. Even if it becomes $10 a gallon. So considering there is no shortage of gas, Pista values will trend up, up, up.

    looking pretty stout :)

The USA is going to always have gasoline available. When not intentionally suppressed, we are the largest producer of the greatest lubricant known to the world's economy and civilization :) Reliable energy, it's what the world requires.

carbon wheels are cool, but, I think they aren't as esthetically pleasing. That Pista is to look at! lol

So you’re thinking prices will hold or increase and no fall in 18-24 months?

Increase. For certain cars. Especially, ICE exotics. Including the 488. Barring economic suicide, of course.

All comes down to interest rates.

If they remain low, then pricing will remain high.

If they start to creep up, then the prices will stabilize.

Which ever way you go, holding will be the best option.

You do understand SLB is a service company right? That is exactly what I said, predominately maintenance work right now, not the infrastructure projects needed to advance the industry. Our department has lost over 70% of our Engineers over the last 6 years, and they're not coming back.

I wish all you guys were correct......

I do, and SLB has lots of new projects, did you read their Q3 report I linked?

Here are some more, easy to find, sorry your company is apparently not run very well, 6 years ago was a boom time for shale production...or maybe those jobs were outsourced?

Interest simply can’t go up. If they do, the US has ZERO chance of being able to service its debt. And if rates do go up, the value of our Pista’s will be the least of our worries.

I'm coming up on my one year anniversary of trading for my 2020 Pista. It's my favorite Ferrari purchase so far.

Wow, the prices in the USA are holding up strong.
A lovely spec low mileage Pista can be had for £275k-£285k in the UK. Some dealers have 2-3 on sale or return (not all advertised without enquiring). The F8 has killed the market over here.

Not if you look at some countries where politicians are relentless with pushing through the EV agenda, mainly to prove they have accomplished something so they increase their chances on an overpaid seat on one or more advisory boards...

When the oil companies become fully integrated energy cartels, meaning supply electricity, wind, solar, hydrogen, their own dependency on oil revenue may decrease, and alternative energy will be more accessible and relevant. This will take a few decades IMO.

I did the same over two years on a nicely spec’ed 488 spider. I had no intention of selling loved that car. However when confronted with getting full price after two years of fun I took the bait and sold. Then placed my order for an F8 spider:)
Win win but I have to wait another 12 mos.
Have a couple other fun things to hold me over incl 812.

Don’t currently have interest in hybrid plus have others have said the Pista and F8 styling as perfect and one of best. In my lifetime gas will be around. I think the Pista and lesser extent F8 will always be highly desired.
End of era , beautiful design, enough performance.
    Cheers

Yeah I agree. There is no Ferrari right now I would want to order. That’s kind of sad when I think about it. I’m not into getting a hybrid Ferrari either. I’m looking forward to all electric one day for my everyday work car/suv to save on fuel but not in my play toy.
I’ve considered trading my 488GTB for a 812 but have yet to drive a 812. My local Ferrari dealer isn’t exactly the most friendly in helping me persue getting into another Ferrari.

if 'alternate energy' was 100% reliable I think it would be easy, but, wind/solar/etc are not reliable and never will be, that's the problem that requires huge government subsidies for those to even be in-use on any electric grid...

I agree. Oil will not go away anytime soon.

Back to the values for Pista. I think we could draw parallels with Speciale. The values for those dipped and settled around and above MSRP. Now they are up like every other vehicle but doubt they will stay there. My sense is that Pista will eventually be near MSRP plus or minus depending on the miles and condition.

    At least a few decades.

And by the time, I'll be dead.

So I could not really give a fcvk. Nor will my Pista.

    Do it.

It's the perfect complement to the Pista. A perfect his/her Ferrari pairing.
