    At work this afternoon, at around 5pm, there were only 22 IFR aircraft airborne in the airspace approximately the size of the image below…. 8 international, 6 domestic, 5 medical and 3 general aviation….. (and 3 of those were on final approaches too!)
    It’s still a pretty sad state of affairs for the airline industry. Hopefully the states get their **** together and open up borders real soon…..

    Well it’s finally coming off the rails in Hongkong..Cathay have made the headlines for the past week because 3 pilots tested positive and countless families have been deemed as close contacts and shipped off to Govt facilities..We keep the supermarket shelves full here in HKG.. The wider public see us as a threat because of Covid..One of our guys were spat on at the bus stop yesterday..At least we have some support..This was posted on the general public Quarantine Facebook page..Nice to see a bit of support…

    Thanks Dan..They might pull us out to keep the operation going…They may put me in LA for 4 months…Might have to buy an OHOS to drive up and down the coast…:)

    LA mate..There’s no Quarantine so I could hop on QF to come home if I have a string of days off…I’ve got 2 weeks leave over Christmas and Newyear but can’t do anything with it as I have to Quarantine in Hongkong for 2 weeks when I return…I’m trying to take leave without pay buts everything is like pulling teeth in this place at the moment..
