I never said it must have a manual gearbox, it can have flappy paddles. I just said it must be very light and without ABS, ESP etc. I'm sure Leclerc could drive it very fast even without any electronics.
because without electronic assistance such a vehicle is the best way to center a tree or a concrete wall
perhaps but with 700hp+ cars it gets more risky to not have any driver aids imo from the manufacturers point of view a lot of cars would get crashed, if they removed the driver aids from the pista I think a few would get written off for sure
That's cause it lacks proper downforce and it's very heavy. Double or triple the downforce, and shed about 500 kg of weight, and Kimi ain't losing it anymore.
Weight has nothing to do with it. If anything, a more leightweight car would be easier to spin. Downforce is relevant, but only at high speeds. Even F1 cars spin and they are on slick tyres.
Yes, F1 cars can spin too, but they usually spin at high speeds, when the driver is forcing a corner.
I’m not arrogant enough to think I’m a great driver but I do have experience in a array of cars, I found radicals (high downforce/ no driver aids) paradoxically harder to drive at slower speeds due to it being hard to adjust for variable grip caused from downforce changing depending on speeds.
I’m happy Ferrari made the new Daytona with a V12 and V12 only. Might be the last mid-engined V12-only Ferrari ever makes again.
Hopefully 2027, as it should have been in the first place. After the F40, they all arrived too early. The F50 should have been in 97 instead of 95, the Enzo in 2007 instead of 2002 and the LaFerrari in 2017 instead of 2013.
The Enzo and the LaFerrari didn't reference a specific number relating to an anniversary, thus they didn't have to abide by that convention. One can argue that only the F50 came earlier, since it used the "50" reference. As we know though, Ferrari doesn't care about those things.
I think it will be in 2023 maybe. Day355 said the development of the next hypercar is in advanced stage. Info from autopareri.com , it will be inspired by the next lmh hypercar and will have 1200 hp.
