Plus, it's 70 percent similar in it parts to a Chevy Colorado ZR2 pickup.

The vehicle seats nine: two in the front, three in the second row, two people facing backwards behind the third row, and one person each facing outwards from the sides on the rear. The sides and seats are all open. Passengers can buckle into place, but there are no doors. This makes it a vehicle that soldiers can easily enter and exit, reducing to a bare minimum the amount of time spent fiddling with doors before driving away or dismounting into position...

I was submarines, not a "ground pounder," but?

Sure seems to me that the FIRST thing the Infantry guys were begging for with the HMMWVs was not only doors, but ARMORED doors. And? You can chuck those out a cargo plane, too.

This thing? Bet the poor guys inside will be pissed, when they start getting pelted by rocks & hopefully nothing more lethal.

My neighbor is the chief engineer on this vehicle. Jay Leno did an episode of Jay Leno's garage on it. Stay tuned to CNBC for when it premiers.

This fits inside a helicopter, not a plane. Presumably there are alot of places where you'd like a vehicle but don't need (or can't bring in) a half million dollar, 7 ton JLTV.

There is a huge range and speed hit with a sling load. Also the ISV can be slung loaded by a Blackhawk, the JLTV can't.

I'm not saying one is better than the other, just that there are alot of reason to have a much lighter, smaller and cheaper vehicle.

I want one! What a cool overlander. I want a civilian version with cup holders and a solar panel roof.

70% similar to a Chevy pickup?

Can our DOD actually be spending taxpayer $$ intelligently for once?
