Some news for the Lexus LFA fan bois: IMHO, the design rendering (origami gone wild) appears to be merely a place holder until management sorts this out. Many people may not be aware, but MG made some huge saloon cars in the mid-to-late 1930s. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Something for the Fiat 500 fans among us..............hmmm, is/are there such a thing? LA Autoshow review- Very weak show. Apparently the German car companies couldn't travel so no Audi, BMW or Mercedes! And with no BMW, there was no Mini and no Mini Moments!! Porsche and VW are there, but VW only has a driving experience outside, they had no displays inside. There were at least 4 new electric brands in the main halls that came out of nowhere and I am sure will not be around next year. They had nothing to distinguish themselves. And then also missing from the show were the well known electric cars like Rivian and Lucid, which were on banners around the halls listing them as the winners of the Electric Car of the Year. Strange. Kia and Hyundai both had large SUV concepts that came across like scaled up 1/4 scale models. Unrefined and dated (Imo). I didn't take pictures of them. Interestingly, RAM had a huge test track where you could drive their gas powered trucks indoors. They must be pretty clean for that. My personal biggest disappointment was that the new Z has no legroom! Image Unavailable, Please Login I think the best looking new car there was the Kia EV6 Image Unavailable, Please Login The new Range Rover front end is bad. My friend said it looked like a NASCAR nose. It literally looks like a big flat surface with graphics cut out of it. Not to mention that it looks like Ford graphics. Image Unavailable, Please Login The interior has a lot of big screens Image Unavailable, Please Login One thing I had never seen before at an Autoshow was a Barbie press release announcing their one off Barbie car, which was built on a Fiat 500e chassis. It will be publicly available in smaller sizes. Image Unavailable, Please Login I think this sucks. Just shows how 'old' I am in my design thinking. Giving credit where due however; they didn't design it for me, they designed it for the 'commenters'......generally < 30 yrs younger than "boomer"..... I still think it sucks.........

Will SUVs become the next victim of "soccer mom syndrome", to be replaced by....vans? The current ubiquity of SUV design is rapidly changing the perception of its status from "adventure" to "Walmart" Meanwhile, with the ongoing exploration of EV design, we're starting to see a pretty interesting range of pod-ish designs (vans?), like Canoo, the VW Buzz and this Buick GL8. Is the van going to become kool again? Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
The M's don't like it either. You should see the looks on their faces when they look at the new BMW grills. Maybe ugly sells to the middle age masses, after all Lexus has been doing it for years
Thoughts on the new Daytona? Image Unavailable, Please Login https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/threads/2020-f40-icona-its-coming-get-excited.595546/page-42 Many more images starting on that page.
P5 tail. The front end lower grills look more Lexus than Ferrari. Shape is nice. Will have to see in person. I do like what it looks like in the press photos. With the SP1 and SP2 now getting conversion kits to make street legal will this also be street legal? #ferraridaytonasp3 - Explore | Facebook
Not a fan of the front gills but otherwise pretty solid to me. Not a stunner, but one of the better designs over the past ~decade.
The rear end is P5 all the way. I guess what Ferrari used to do back in the 1960's is have little design details that made them stand apart. That kind of went away in recent years going almost generic on cars such as the Portofino(Ferrari Camaro ). Now they(Ferrari) have added those features back on some cars. Without that they look just like a Mclaren or Aston Martin, and sometimes still do.
I like it overall but I’m not a fan of the rear design one bit. I also have to say I’m not that fond of the broken waist look they keep pushing. It looks disjointed to me
Yes that waistline is really poorly done, what a mess. The rest of the car is good, but some will not like the P5 inspired rear end. The P5 was never my favorite Ferrari showcar. At that time (1967-1971)Alfa Romeo was getting the best out of the Italian designers on their T33 Stradale. Image Unavailable, Please Login
proportions are dreadful, and what is the surfacing on the flank supposed to be doing?? Someone got a picture puzzle for an early Thanksgiving gift and put the pieces together badly; very badly. That rear end didn't work 40 years ago and still doesn't! If you're going to call it the Daytona, you could at least rip off the Pininfarina P4/5, since the original P4 swept the 24hr.
Because Ferrari is all about the $$$& now. If they can squeeze some extra cash out by using an iconic name they will. Lol, no different than the “special editions” or M cars. They are marketing whores and no one seems to call them on it.
Close Buick... But no cigar. IMHO, this is the holy grail of Kool Vans: Image Unavailable, Please Login
