I see more 250 P5 than 330 P4... even down to the launch color selection..

I thinks it’s mighty looking and they’ve managed to bring back “pop up” headlights which is clever. Manzoni is respecting history but looking to the future and being brave with his design philosophy. He has without doubt the hardest design job in the business and is doing it brilliantly imho

Look at the front, the double air intakes in the front hood, the treatment of the headlights with the double eyelids type FXX-K, the front spoiler ...
Now you understand why I was talking about unnecessary styling effects ...

I like the Daytona name, but why? It’s inspired by P5, not P3 and P4.

    Nice interior.

    Too many strakes!!

Best and most original area is this:

This inflection point and SF-90/Portofino lower door shape is just bad:

Windshield is nice; saw it coming:

Second pic is better, even if less original and without squared wheel arch openings:

The rear strakes are comical. The front strakes are reminiscent of those found on the Nissan GT-R and the whole front end has the aura of a duck beak. It has a hypercar overall design because it is based on the LaFerrari, but has none of that car's modern aggressiveness. It is a mismatch of '60s curves and '80s strakes.

I believe someone said the name was decided by the small VIP group the car was first presented to. Daytona would represent Enzo’s revenge where they slaughtered the GT40’s after losing to them at LeMans.

Whatever one may think of the car, they are already sold out.

Need to see more and in person but first reaction is they did a fantastic job- you can clearly see the homage to the past models but this is not at all retro nor just a copy.

Im told Rosso Magma over what appears to be Blu Alcantara. The other is a matte white over a nice darkish red.

How and why Manzoni completely ignores how light is reflected of the surface is unbelievable to me.

Side profile is stunning, the front looks to busy and dare i say it, ugly. i like the back, but i think its a little to busy as well..

It's not alcantara on the interior. It's Jeans Aunde fabric in blue. I almost specced my 812 GTS with that material but went with blue alcantara.

There are tests you can do on a modelled surface within the modelling software to check specifically for undesirable reflections, inflections and discontinuities. But here obviously the intent was to shock.

It’s funny how they’ll let PF consult on the regular series cars, Roma, 296, upcoming 812 replacement (I think) and not this halo car that follows a car, the Monza that was soooo very lovely and graceful.
