It looks obvious that it will have a SP4 badge. Therefore we should stop calling Daytona as Icona 2 as it really is Icona 3.

Feel the same over the weight issue, how can it way the same as a LaFerrari without the electric motor, battery and kers? One of the two is quoting the wrong dry weight.

Point was brought up in conversation. Seems all the extra weight is in styling elements

The Bianco Italia Opaco one doesn't have the chromed Ferrari script on top of the rear spoiler lip, whereas the Rosso Magma has the script.
With the design being rather busy and less coherent the car does not need any stripes.

The weight is quite a mystery. Ferrari made the comparison rather difficult by not announcing weight for LaF and LaF Aperta.
812 SF and GTS have weight difference of 75 kg, but I would assume the difference between LaF and LaF Aperta to be smaller due to carbon construction. Does anyone have info on this?

SP3 is significantly wider (+5.8 cm) than LaF , so that will obviously add weight. Press release also informs that side crash protection has been improved. It still has both carbon chassis and body, but especially the doors are now thicker and more complex due to air inlet and have probably required strenghtening here and there.

Hard to say if SP3 is any lighter than LaF Aperta at this point.

Why does Ferrari not adopt cameras for the rear view mirrors like the T50, Valkyrie? The mirrors really do the car no favors

Forget 1255 kg. It is the dry weight of Enzo and often incorrectly presented as LaFerrari dry weight.

LaFerrari dry weight is somewhere around 1450 - 1500 kg, possibly even more with the Aperta.

Regarding the doors, I think they have created a crash impact structure around the air inlet. The styling is probably just a clever outcome of the side impact requirement.

    From the press release (pdf):
Aeronautical composites were used, including T800 carbon-fibre for the tub which was hand-laid up to guarantee the correct amount of fibre for each area. T1000 carbon-fibre was used in the doors and sills, and is essential to cockpit protection as its characteristics make it ideal for side impacts. Kevlar® was also used for areas which are most subject to impact, thanks to its resistance characteristics.

The car has some very interesting details, and i am sure the photos don't do it justice, but also i am sure that it would be much nicer with few less liner here and there. And i wish they didn't do that invagination after the rear doors ,like he sneezed while designing it.
Dont think that the design has to be so polarising .
I hope that the time will come when they will take inspiration from Ferraris drom late 80 and 90(exterior design )
    355, 456, f40 etc.
Even today i enjoy looking at them, and remembering when they were just a posters on a wall.

Yesterday I went to sleep with a nightmare and today I still see this mess of lines and shapes.
But it´s a Ferrari. So we must justify it... :D

Not bad for a Nissan GTR, that's how I see it. This is not a Ferrari Icon.
