You can easily look that up Adrian. The short answer is a lot. Over 3800 cars, which was mass production by Ferrari standards. In comparison there were 1400 Daytonas built (which itself dwarfed 275 production of some 400 cars). 246's are not rare, not fast and had no competition success.
And yet, they're almost universally loved. They are beautiful (mostly), sound great, go ok for their age and handle beautifully.
No argument with any of that, but the same applies to a glass 308, which is much rarer and yet less than half the price. They're also much more comfortable to drive. If your motivation is investment, a glass 308 is a better bet IMO.
But a glass 308 looks like any other 308, so there's literally thousands of them. Only a Dino looks like a Dino. The market has spoken. 308 prices hardly move and are a hard sell. Dinos walk out the door at very high prices. and comfort?? yeah...there's a motivation to buy one over the other lol
Lol. I was just about to type exactly the same thing. I love the glass 308s, but I'm buggered if I can tell by looking whether it's a glass car or an "ordinary" 308. re the Dino, I'd buy that if I had the money. Absolutely gorgeous. Couldn't care less how fast or comfortable it is. I've been waiting for someone to come on and point out what is "incorrect" on that particular one.

What a stunning machine! As Steve mentioned, if I were to win BIG money the lotto I would also love to have one in the collection. Surprisingly, I fit inside the cab of one no worries lol.
And they are tiny compared to today’s offerings but beautifully proportioned cars [emoji4] perfect! , pretty close anyway [emoji106]

So this just underlines how much money Ferrari make by producing the new Daytona SP3, I just received an update from Morgan Stanley on the bottom line to be made, their analysts say EBITDA will be around US$1billion for this car alone, that as we know is already sold out, just unbelievable when the numbers are crunched & made available.
