We are exactly alike there: I think sensual curves need metallic shine to give the paint more flop, and solid colors are a wasted opportunity. I fell in love with grigio alloy from the 360 spider launch car, this series were my computer wallpapers for years: Image Unavailable, Please Login https://www.netcarshow.com/Ferrari-360_Spider-2001-1600-10.jpg

So you might want consider new wife, friends and dealer... come on, worst piece of advice ever!!! In all seriousness, Grigio Alloy is just awesome, I don't see why you should listen to negative opinions if you like it.
This is now "doing my head in" (as we say in Manchester) to the point where I'd almost rather just buy a used one than choose my own colour. Ridiculous. Image Unavailable, Please Login My dealer sent me this photo of a Grigio Alloy over Cuoio no shields car which was the exact spec I was considering. The car looks impressive as you can see but somehow a bit bland. It looks a lot more blue in that photo than others. The other colour I really love is Blu Pozzi. Relatively unusual compared to the TdF / Blu America options. I do love the purity and depth of Pozzi and it does occur to me that the 812, while imposing, is not a really beautiful car (like a 250SWB) and actually quite a big old bus, maybe a dark colour is best. I found this pic buried somewhere in this thread and it just looks perfect to me - I think it's Grigio Ingrid but no one could confirm. Image Unavailable, Please Login
That does have a lot of blue. Sure it's not azzurro metalizzato? Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login That silver looks like argento Nurburgring to me. It is the hue of the sunlight you're seeing, Ingrid has more gold/champagne tones. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Nurburgring looks cool in satin or matte too, here's a Stealth PPF wrap over Nurburgring: Image Unavailable, Please Login
If you haven’t found it yet tjete re are two “blue” threads up in the general section under “detailing & showroom”. Probably similar for silver as well. lots of choice, if your prepared to pay! Personally I’d have a hard time deciding as well if I was ordering one, but I’d be looking silver with Bordeaux interior against a blue/crema interior! my current favourite blue is lemans blue. I’ve seen and 812 gts in this and it’s stunning; and different enough to tdf. https://www.romansinternational.com/used-vehicle-details/Ferrari-812-Superfast-U8819/ Good problem to have !
Blu Elettrico with Sabbia is nice. The photos are not great for selling such an expensive car! https://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-details/202109297922061?year-to=2021&make=Ferrari&model=812 GTS&include-delivery-option=on&sort=relevance&advertising-location=at_cars&postcode=cb248rx&onesearchad=New&onesearchad=Nearly New&onesearchad=Used&radius=1501&page=1 Image Unavailable, Please Login
Is that photo taken in Manchester UK? Looks like the garage door at their service entrance. I am waiting to do my initial spec there too at the moment and I just cannot settle on a colour. I must read pages and pages of this thread every day. have they advised when they think your car will be due into the Uk once spec finalised? Dan
Hi Dan, Not sure which location but the pic was somewhere in the Dick Lovett network. No, I don't know when my car will be here: "some time" next year is what I've been told. I'm now leaning towards Grigio Abu Dhabi with painted shields, dark brown interior, dark silver forged wheels, plain centre caps, yellow calipers. I'm on here every day as well Joel
I had a 458SAperta in G Abu Dhabi, with Testa do Moro semi aniline. Looked lovely but beware sometimes it comes out quite beige, mine was a good batch. It’s also very expensive.
