I'd rather not generalize, it really depends on usage, a USA F40 owned from new in 1991 with @ 90,000 miles has never had the engine rebuilt or turbos replaced, only the clutch twice in that period, he treats the car expertly, allows the turbos to stop spooling before shutoff etc.

That is phenomenal. Thank you for sharing.

Do you think the Euro F40’s are lesser cars?

I am just wondering why you say a USA F40.

    Thank you

May the Horse be with you

They are basically the same with different running gear related to EPA & DOT mandates on the USA car, the engines of a Eu/ROW and USA car should last similarly if treated similarly.

In pic 2 the rear fin appears to be missing from the clam, is this one of the cut down cars for the Swiss market, that has later on had a normal clam fitted as per pic 1?

    Maurizio Gucci had an F40.
Do we know what became this car?
    Is't an optional model?

Ferrari engines are seldom worn out Typically they are broken due to their usage. Some people use them with respect and get a good life from them. That requires long term ownership and an understanding of the car. A very unusual combination.

Agreed, which is why it's so important to understand who has owned the car and how they have used it.
