Dang it Doug. Why do you have to do this?. This looks like a great car. Does it have a title? Did They take all the structure of the roof? I still want this car, but I really need it for the street. What do you think it may take to get it street comfortable?.

for anybody looking at this car, two things come to mind. Number one, Doug only has amazing cars that he keeps in impeccable condition. The only critique I would say is he is so neurotic that the cars are just so perfect. Number two, John James racing does some amazing cars. Their builds are impeccable. I’ve had one of their cars and thoroughly enjoyed it. Anybody looking at this car would not be disappointed.

How often have you driven this on the track? Or for you was this more of a collectors item?

 

I have never tracked it. More of a collectors item for me just to look at, like my other vehicles.

Thank you very much for you kind words, you're way too nice!!! No title, not sure it would be to street comfortable with roll bar and etc. Second guessing myself on selling now due to the Superformance GT40 Mark II I was pursuing might not materialize as of now.

 

The Porsche is a much more enjoyable. Keep it.

I need to talk to John about building a street version of your car for me!!!

Doug, you took the car out of the garage and out into the sun!!! It's worthless now!!!!!!

 

I have one of Doug's cars that never saw the sun - it's amazing! So I agree - this one is totally ruined! lol

Knowing Doug, I can assure any future owner that every visible screw nut or bolt will be perfect, and at the correct angle too.

 

Please make it street legal! Rothmans livery 956 and 962 are iconic. My favorite 80s car.

3.3 liter, runs 1 bar boost, but can run more. Around 500 hp, 15 hours on engine, MoTec management system.

Not being a vintage Porsche guy, why the two different size tail pipes? Very cool car by the way!!

 

Large pipe is exhaust and small pipe is waste gate.
