You could redeem a Daytona SP3 for approx 4,054,054 $100,000 candy bars sans volume discount. Alternatively, a trill would buy around 333,333 SP3's nicely carbon'd.

    Agreed. Both cars are hideous.

Out of curiosity, which Ferrari model in the past do you think is pretty?

It’s more jealousy than cynicism. I wish I could actually own abs drive one.

I once read somewhere that the F50 was designed to have pop-up headlamps, and then they had to be changed at the last minute. I have absolutely no idea if that is true, but since then I've always wanted to see an F50 in that configuration. I think it would look better, and I actually really like the car as-is.

The F50 IMO is the best looking car of all time. Enzo takes second place. Then come the LaFerrari, F40, F550, F355, F288, F360, etc

The carbon skirt hides the side crash structure, as seen in this pic. Maybe it helps to give value for those carbon parts.

The F50 is a more important car. It is also a more important car than the LaF yet it was cheaper than the LaF in 2013 and people still fought over the LaF and bought it over the F50. Why? Because people are shifting towards new, easier cars to drive. They want emotion, but they also want Wi-fi and Apple CarPlay… the old dogs amongst us (me included) still dream of that F50…
I think F50s will go crazy price-wise. The SP3 will also do well but the two appeal to a different audience

Too bad they did not muffle the exhaust or put a GPF on those darn P3/4 so we we could properly hear the new car:)

    In what sense?

It probably has to do with the performance, not Carplay (that the LF doesn't have).

Look at how the car is built, look at the origin of the engine, the bolted position of the engine on the chassis, the shocks ... and you will see that it is the only road car with a true F1 transfer from that era.
The LF has nothing to do with this approach !

The end result matters. Unfortunately, it fell short of the performance targets they had set. They admitted that they made several mistakes with the F50.

The F50 engine is derived from the Formula 1 race car Tipo 036 V12. This is fantastic.

I am still in Italy. I met with the head of Marketing and had dinner with him. I also met with the head of product development. They both said that the car is based on the P3. The car is stunning in person. I am up in the air on the rear but IMHO this is so much better than the La Ferrari. My understanding is that it has been very well received by clients and only 599 will be produced. The estimated cost is $2,000,000
