That "mob" is a moderator here who does an excellent job of policing the classifieds and has flushed out several scammers in the past. Your post looked off to him, he asked a couple questions to protect the seller from getting scammed and then, once he was satisfied that you were legit, posted that as well.

Would you prefer we let any scammer who wants to waste a seller's time, or perhaps scam them out of a car, do so? Didn't seem like much of an intrusion and you got the deal done, right?

I think he may have been referring to rocketman. It wasn’t even his posting and he was the one asking for a picture with the newspaper.
