Eric- Will call my guys in Nashville and see if they saved them or tossed them. Will let you work the details with them if they still have them. No money to me required. My late model (post AN 51797) mufflers are still likely at my techs' shop in Albuquerque, too.

Thank you, sir. I am truly excited about the 575. I did love my 456M and suspect she was mere warmup for the 575.

When you went cat-less on the 550 what did you do with your secondary air system?

I have heard your flic multiple times.

Fabio needs to send you a free $25.00 gift certificate for the Olive Garden, for posting it up.

My kids at the house have thrown an old shoe at me, for listening to the vid on-line again and again.

The system was removed. The car shows a code for it at startup, but I think this only affects 2000-2001 cars.

Haha, that's awesome. Fabio's work is excellent.

I think I was the first one (outside of Fabio himself) with his exhaust.

Attached is a quick rev video with the full system and valves open. There is no comparison...it is the best option period.

You or my friend Oliver from Germany were nr 2.
    I believe it was Oliver.

    I'm nr 9 with the 550 (575/456) and was nr 9 with the 599.

There is a Motronic 5.2 specialist in California who can have the ECUs updated to not check for secondary air as well as adjust the temperature range for the rear oxygen sensors and he can update the fuel map for Ferrari's more aggressive Go-Flow catless map which helps lean things out with more power. These cars seem to run very rich without cats.

Yes, PM on the way. I believe there was a guy years ago in Australia who had this tune and he claimed to be at ~600hp. Apparently these cars like to breathe. I also recommend wiring the fuel pumps and cooling fans directly to the battery with 8ga. copper wire and then use the original power sources on the factory fuse board for relay switching. An updated fuse board from 7 Lakes Auto also makes a big improvement.

    Interesting
Is there a similar remap for the 575?

Also I can’t find the custom button that was made for the exhaust valves in the thread…

I know Fabio makes a great switch, but I'm not sure if there is a catless map for the 575. I would imagine there probably is.

Do you mean the one Dan had custom made? @dhalperin13

    his looks pretty neat. www.ferrarichat.com/forum/posts/148101790/

My mechanic said Fabios remote was too complicated to wire so on mine I use Fabios mufflers with a capristo remote control.

Terry, for transparency, I told my mechanic I wanted Fabios remote set up installed and then they showed me the instructions, and said it would be faster easier for me to have Fabios mufflers with the capristo remote set up.

here are the Fabio instructions and then FWIW - if anyone is interested — the capristo remote is on the left (that I’m using) and the Fabio remote is on the right.

again, for clarity — in San Jose I was charged $850 for the capristo kit and $300 for the install (again FWTW). I will be truthful that I didn’t ask what the cost was going to be….since I had the Fabio remote I find it hard to believe the install could NOT have been done for the equivalent $1,150….but my car had been there 26 weeks and I really didn’t want to argue and wanted the car back.

I would lastly add that I personally like my mechanic and I do respect the work he does and advice he has provided (don’t want this to sound like a knock).

    hope this information is interesting/helpful.

Eric- Not much choice if your tech wants to do it one way. I would have made the same decision. My techs charged me $360 to install Fabio's remote.

If I recall, my mechanic said it took them around 90 min labor to install mine. He said it was tedious I still have CEL he can't get rid of

Lesson learned on my end for sure.... Dan does your remote look like the white one I showed on the right?

The Grigio Alloy car 116994 that sold to Roger with Fabio's mufflers had this remote with a simple "on" and "off" button which I really like. EDIT -- just realized looking at older posts in this thread I had already shared that remote photo

Mine is just on and off. When you hit off, the valves are in automatic mode (controlled by Motronic), at any rate.
