No gearbox damage for Verstappen's car. No change needed so he'll start from P3. Let's hope for a clean red flag free race. Starting grid Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Good to see max doesn’t need a new gearbox. T1 is going to be very dicey. It’s a short run to T1 and max is on the inside. He’s likely to have Bottas or Leclerc outside him when he gets there. Let’s see if he’s worked out that trying to bully the outside driver off the track will not work here. Chances are he’ll lose his head and possibly the championship if he tries his usual tactics. We could see the safety car record broken here. It could be total chaos like F2 was. I’m going to be settling in for a long afternoon with various stoppages…!
I think Max is on the outside behind Lewis. Butler is there to block Max sending one up the inside.Guaranteed to be messy ...and hope no one gets hurt.
Race Day! Dry, warm and lots of attitude. As far as the glowing press on Max' lap - that only is the lap of the day, century etc, when you complete it. He overdrove the car. He was fast but did not complete it. A lap matters when its complete not when you bin it. It matters not he was fast until he crashed. Sainz was fast and he crashed. Today matters- not some silly lap that was just another that ended in a crash. If Max is going to win, he needs this pass on lap 1 or he will not be able to pass most likely. Hence his effort yesterday. I think he can win it. Lets hope his head and attitude allow that.

Hmmmmppphhhh. For someone so opinionated about the sport, I'm amazed you can't find your way to Formula1.com's homepage for a simple race schedule.
Pedro gets more info here at FChat than at Formula1.com NOT TO MENTION he watches for free via the links that are provided to him.
It’s on the half hour in most places so unless you live in Iran or Newfoundland you may be caught out by this. Suggest to go to the Autosport home page and check the start time with the toggle set to “your time”.
He also gets more info here from helpful posters like Joe than from uninformed posters who are like the pot calling the kettle black.
Lol yep i like to see the pre race bit too. Was in Iqaluit some years ago on a delivery flight ...colllllld
Tyre thoughts about today from Crash.net Hamilton wasn’t at one with his car, with tyre warm-up a prevalent issue for Mercedes and many teams up and down the grid. This was highlighted by the fact that Hamilton had to do four flying laps on his medium tyres in Q2 to achieve his top time, while Verstappen only needed the one push lap. But Mercedes boss Toto Wolff isn’t concerned by the number of laps it took and the potential tyre-life disadvantage going into the race. “We had that debate but we felt that the tyre was never in the window, we never used it because the temperature was never there so we hope we didn’t use it too much and it will be still good enough for tomorrow,” Wolff said after qualifying. Red Bull’s quicker tyre warm-up will naturally give it an advantage when pitting and going for the undercut - something Mercedes will have to be wary of. Conversely, Mercedes’ warm-up issues should be resolved in the race given they will be on higher fuel and able to pound around on the same set of tyres. https://www.crash.net/f1/feature/994146/1/could-mercedes-achilles-heel-hand-red-bull-win-saudi-gp-f1-talking-points
Yes F2. My mistake. Call Masi and have me penalized lol Stall car on the grid at start. Midfield accident. Not related to turn 1. I still think it will be a mess for F1 potentially.
