Do the maths. LH was already 8 points down going into the race. If LH really had deliberated collided with Max, there’s a pretty good chance that would’ve taken BOTH of them out of the race. Which would’ve meant Max going into Abu Dhabi next weekend with the very same 8-point lead. If anyone had LESS to lose in an on-track skirmish which took both out today, it was Max.
I know and then I read Lewis is an idiot. If it had been deliberate he sure would be. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Already offered ... its not a bad move when you know full well that Verstappen, and not Hamilton, will get penalized no matter what. Maybe you cut his rear tire, at the price of changing your front wing ... after all pit stops are done, the stewards will 100% make sure that Verstappen is the only one penalized. On this, there can be NO doubt. Hey, it may sound crazy ... but it's better than ANY other explanation offered, for why Hamilton slammed into the back of a slowing car on a wide open straight with plenty of room to pass.
I'm inclined to agree. I can also see Ham not knowing WTF was going on in front of him. I said years ago, that the only thing standing between Max and a WDC was his temperament. This dumb move could very well have handed Ham another WDC.
Verstappen, on being told he was voted driver of the day, had some interesting comments on team radio: "Luckily the fans have a clear mind about racing because what happened today was unbelievable... this sport is more about penalties than racing and for me this is not Formula 1." Couldn’t agree more Max, the driver of the day….
My turn for questions: How did Hamilton know that Verstappen wasn't experiencing a power loss or gearbox failure? The evidence would look the same: slowing-down a straight, with plenty of room to pass. Is this how Hamilton would respond, to any driver in front, experiencing a power loss or gearbox failure? I'll wait for good answers to a serious questions ...
That’s very likely. The quickness of Masi’s decision was such that the pit wall wasn’t adequately able to pass the information to LH quickly enough in real time.
Why would he risk putting himself completely out of the race with a crash? It looks to me like a Head Up Arse moment than something done on purpose. He could have easily shredded a tire and that would have been it for his WDC run.
Given how redbull was quick to take massi’s deal show he is not very clear on what happened. He was at fault on 2 occasions. America will welcome Him with open arms in nascar if he wants to come Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Answer my questions from post #572 first ... then offer a better, more believable explanation for why Hamilton slammed into the back of a slowing car on a wide open straight with plenty of room to pass.
... you haven't answered my questions. Is this how we can expect Hamilton to respond to a driver in front, experiencing a power loss or gearbox failure on a wide open straight with plenty of room to pass? For all Hamilton knew, that's EXACTLY what was happening ... the evidence would be identical, from Hamilton's perspective. Unless, of course, Hamilton DID know that Max was giving-up his position In that case, what would be Hamilton's excuse for causing the collision?
Blame the victim, gas lighting 101. LH drove straight into another car because of the decisions he made. Hopefully the FIA steps up and penalizes him.
Either Hamilton made a mistake and got caught off guard or telemetry shows max did slam on the brakes. Simple as that. I let u and ur JFK’s theories do the rest Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Still avoiding, deflecting, defending and excusing ... How many times has Hamilton made a similar "mistake" on a car experiencing a power loss or gearbox failure in front of him, on a wide open straight, with plenty of room to EASILY pass? No worries ... I know my very reasonable questions from post #572 have no answers, from the Hamilton fans.
easy to replace a front wing while damaging your competition's rear (not as easy to fix) in reality, he just messed up. cant' imagine what he was thinking that he had to slow down too... sjd
That's how you know it's complete BS. They play with semantics to mask reality. That's why many people don't like LH, and unfortunately MB have embraced that strategy and are using it to coerce the FIA. LH just blamed Max for "not playing with the same rule book" Disgusting, unsporting behavior.
I just wanted to say something... I did the best I could today in the face of people who can't see the truth in front of them. sjd Ocon should have been DotD.
Since this is all speculation, and we are on the outside looking in, I would speculate that if Max was having a power/gearbox failure, he would have moved way over to eliminate any oil on the track, and not be a moving chicane - he is smart enough to know that, and that's what drivers do - especially on a (crappy) narrow track. All drivers knew this was a very narrow track with little margin for error. Again speculation - we don't know all the facts. But then again we've already decided the FIA is corrupt, and LH is a moron. So it doesn't matter what their answer is, does it.
That’s the most logical answer if u don’t believe in Max’s guilt, respectable. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
