I sincerely hope that 2022 brings a Ferrari resurgence and all of this Max. v. Hammy stuff becomes irrelevant.

That would be excellent! Hamilton vs Ferrari is a much better contest to watch. And no Max crap for the others to have to avoid.

Sorry Michael, I rather see RB vs Ferrari. Max is the best thing that happened in the F! for the last 15 years as without him it was like the Bold and the Beautiful...very predictable and no suspense...women stuff.

    ciao

Max would have this season in the bag if not for Baku and Hungary--not to mention Silverstone.

Max is the fastest and hardest racer in F1 presently.
Alonso in a front line car would kick ass. Impeccable racecraft.

Max and Alonso in equal cars would be epic.

Even better than Bottas and Ham in equal cars

The consistency of applying FIA rules is a joke.
Domenicali needs a kick up the a$$.
It's been light touch penalties for Hamilton too

Only thing predictable is every driver that gets close to max needs to avoid him crashing into them, you might say its hard racing, i dont think it is racing..... not being able to go wheel to wheel with a driver isnt racing, what is racing is watching Alonso and LH going side by side not in one corner, but 3 - 4 with neither going off track respecting the rules and not pushing the other off if they have a right to the corner. What Max does with his im braking way to late and cant keep the car on track or a im diving down the inside you better move also not staying on track and forcing every body to take avoiding action every time....That is not racing....

Before Max crashed in Silverstone, LH took avoiding action twice before corpse, was clearly MV's turn to back out. the fact max didnt back out might cost him the title.... in the last race alone LH backed out of a crash with max ( Because max cant stay on track ) twice....... LH's ability to avoid a driver who cant control his car ( or is trying to take LH out which should have him banned any way ) is the only reason we have had only 3 crashes between them both ( Silverstone, Monza and SA )......

I seem to remember Alonso and LH being a great contest with two great racers who went Wheel to Wheel with out contact numerous times in the same car........ Same cant be said of Max who has yet to get through one corner wheel to wheel with another driver that has not resulted in both cars going off track or some sort of contact or avoiding action from the driver who is trying to go wheel to wheel with max......

The only crap i see is when ever MV does Wheel to wheel racing and actually keep his car on track not crash or force another driver to take avoiding action from one of his now trade mark late braking never making the turn inside dive bombs forcing every one else to back out or end up in a different country ( See brazil ).

MV is fast, but he isnt a very good in wheel to wheel racing, is reckless and a danger to him self and others and the Stewards and FIA have allowed it to get so bad only one driver out of them all knows the bounderys, but after the weekend now claims he doesnt. wonder who that one driver is???

I think the main reason why Max tends to dive bomb and react in abrupt and overly aggressive manner is he gets manipulated into bad situation 2 or 3 turns in advance and doesn't realize it until the end when he's already lost the battle. Yes Max has contributed to adding a lot of excitement to this season, but that came at the risk of turning F1 into F1 UFC as David Coulthard put it following the Saudi race. The FIA are to blame for their inconsistent rulings and sometimes meaningless penalties like the 15 seconds they gave Max last week or the no call in Brazil. This kind of "excitement" can be toxic to the sport as other drivers would have to respond as Leclerc said following the no call against Max in Brazil. I think Hamilton rear ending Max in Saudi is partly because of this free for all abrupt unpredictable atmosphere that Max has created around him by accident or by design.

This is exciting and professional racing that I have not seen Max do. Slight push here and there is to be expected but dive bombing and cutting off opponents at a diagonal angle is just reckless and should not be allowed.

It’s laughable that everyone considers Max so aggressive and unsportsmanlike like. How did we get so many brand new F1 fans on one website?? He’s driving at 10/10ths with milliseconds to decide what to do. He’s no more dirty or aggressive than dozens who’ve come before him. His super license through out his career has no more sanction points than most. Perhaps you all missed Hunt, Andretti, Piquet, Senna, J Villeneauve, Mansell, etc etc etc. Many drivers can be aggressive, it just happens Max is racing Lewis so everyone has their panties in a bunch. Get over it, if Hamilton can’t hang with the big boys, then he should retire. Only one on track incident this season was reckless enough to cause serious injury, and that was Hamilton at Silverstone, the rest are grown up kids being kids. Ease up on the hyperbole

I'm watching that right now. Couldn't agree more with Tiff.

Max is an amazing talent, he's definitely going to be a WDC, probably a multiple WDC. But as a person, he's arrogant, impetuous, immature and as a driver, he's - quite frankly - dangerously reckless.
