In Baku, Verstappen was unlucky in having a blown tire. Lewis was lucky not to get a puncture.
Lewis should have won by passing Perez, but overcooked his brakes or forgot a magic button to reset them.
So Verstappen was unlucky, but Lewis made a mistake and missed out on 25 points.
In what was it, Hongary , Bottas wrecked both Perez and Verstappen.
Verstappen was unlucky, and Lewis was not with 25 points.
(Silverstone , well, let's just not look too close at that one, too much controversy. Just saying that luck was not with Verstappen there and Lewis gets 25 points)
Now in this race Verstappen has luck on his side, but still has to perform in the last lap,to pass Hamilton.
Which he did. And earned 8 points more than Lewis.
So all nonsense about Lewis being the better, dominant driver, my *ss. If both drivers had been equally lucky in the whole season, Verstappen would have won the championship 2 races ago...

Or they could threaten to pull out of F1 along with their engine supplies if this little dictator doesn't overturn the decision.

You should add Max needed a new power unit after the Silverstone crash.
Honda reliability was absolutely amazing this year.
    Kudos to them!

I agree. It was clear that “the show” was the maximum priority. It could also be that ‘Messy’ was in over his head, but just a lot of inane rulings that made no sense (e.g. last race’s “brake test” penalty…)

Formula 1 as a whole benefitted greatly this season. I have friends who’ve never heard of Senna now completely bought in. Unfortunately, it is the very drama the long-time aficionados rue that is bringing in the new fans. I don’t like it, but it’s “Mission Accomplished” for Liberty.

I think we mostly enjoyed the season as a forum. There’s always a bit of acrimony whenever people take sides, but it was far more respectful than in the past. I’m looking forward to what the new formula brings us in 2022.

I'll go with the reality of the last 4 races. Including Hamilton embarrassing Verstappen on the start today, even with Max on SOFTS. If you think Hamilton avoiding contact with Max is racing, then that's your world.

Thats quite an utter manipulation of the truth…wheel to wheel max has ended up with penalties…
And as of today he passed with brand new tyres so…

Winning the WDC as a driver is clearly more important than as a constructor otherwise Mercedes would be quieter

i agree max was more dominant, but also way more reckless and is lucky to have not been in more accidents. lewis drove masterfully all season with less support from his team mate. In the end the race directing was beyond awful and lewis deserved to win today. Even with worn hard tires Lewis was fighting Max to the end.

And without the hint of a fight from the so called GOAT, last lap and he leaves the door wide open like that, pathetic if you ask me.

I hate hammy but today he was robbed! The battle was settled on track when latifi crashed. Max had no chance. The front office decided the race. This should not be allowed to happen. It ruins the sport. I call BS on desire to not finish under yellow. If they want that in the rules then red flag, clear track, space as before latifi crash and rolling start them. Today fans were robbed too.

I think with all this Lewis/Max/Merc/RB talk we're all forgetting the most important thing and that's the fact Kimi was DOTD with 42.8% of the vote.

    Bwoah.

    exactly. What a farce.

michael can thank his son for helping him hang onto his title record. Mick’s tangle with Latifi started the whole mess.

    Absolutely. Lewis was faultless today.

    Toto on the other hand....

    Yep…
With cooler head I truly think Mercedes cost Lewis this race and others this year… they made fun of Red Bull after a few races for making mistakes but Toto should look at himself in the mirror here… it’s on him if not on the fia.
Let’s see if next year alpine, Ferrari, Renault change that order…

I'm a massive max fan as anyone here knows, but I agree. Mind you, I agree thst Lewis got robbed of a win today, but not of a championship. Imo max was being robbed of that by combined effort of fia and Mercedes. Max finally got some luck at the very last moment, and grabbed it with both hands.

Messi should be sacked on the spot (though he does get kudos for basically telling toto to **** off)

Huh? Do you think the first lap call of not having Hamilton give Max the position back after him short cutting was ok? Is no one allowed to pass Lewis? That was some ********. Even the announcers were surprised.

They screwed Max on that call and karma came back in the end to bite Lewis IMO.

I thought so too until I heard he didn’t show for the post race interview. Very poor form.
