Just received my copy by Ronald Stern and Nathan Beehl. Love it. I have the black cover leather edition. Anybody else have a copy ? Can’t find mention elsewhere on these boards so if I have missed it please tell me or merge. Thanks.

    Lovely book.

Here's a link to the official site.

They are now sold out now so can I ask what you paid for it?

It's been discussed on the official book collectors thread when they were released quite some time ago so you may have to search through the 150 or so pages.

+1, Nathan's access to Ronald's fantastic collection lays the foundation for truly excellent books. Plus, the production values of all three are the best I have seen.

I agree with the positive comments in the prior postings. The research content and the picture, print and paper/binding quality are all top notch. I have #050 of all 3 black cover books.

Another positive point was that the Postcard supplement published after the book came out was sent to me for no charge, maybe because I was an early buyer. With the cost of printing and mailing, who else sends supplemental printed material after purchase for free anymore?

Is the supplement a regular addition to the book? I am about to buy a copy of "A Postcard from Maranello", leather edition, but although the book is in mint condition, the supplement is missing. What is the supplement about?

    Congratulations !!
It was an addition that was posted out to those who bought APFM.
Not everyone received it as since it was posted out to owners if the retailer/ publisher didn't have the owners postal address it couldn't be sent, so many books wouldn't have it included.
It's a 70th Anniversary Update with additional postcards featured.

    That's disappointing.
I purchased both the Postcard and Salesdrive book from the same seller (and many, many other books over the years) but never received communication about the update let alone receive it in the post.

I am not sure this was how it worked.

I cannot find the post right now but I thought Nathan wrote on Ferrari Chat that owners of the book needed to contact him directly in order to receive the supplement. I thought this was at about the same time as La Nascita was published but, as mentioned, I cannot find the post to confirm this.

to digress slightly what was included with the sales drive book? It was the one featuring all the Ferrari brochures? I seem to recall something about a 1947-1948 Ferrari Yearbook booklet to? Is there an image of the cover for the booklet??? Thank you!

We talk about "A Postcard from Maranello". The 1947 "Libro die Corse" has been included at "La Nascita".

Happy to stand corrected, either way they were posted out to book owners Sven.

Contact Nathan via Inbox and see if he can be of any assistance.

    Here's the info;
Sales Drive - standard edition = book only; deluxe edition = book + limited edition print
Postcard book = book only. Then 3 or 4 years later we issued a supplement, All the new colour postcards + b/w cards found since the book was published, We sent the supplements out FREE to anyone who had bought the book from us (because we had their details) but if you bought your book from a bookshop then we weren't able to send one. So check with the shop you bought from originally.
La Nascita = 2 books, La Nascita + 1947 facsimile 'Libro di Corse'. (as near as we could get without access to the original. It was more to give the buyer a sense/feeling for what an original was like)
    Hope this helps,
    Nathan

Nathan thank you for the descriptions for the various editions!
Reading between the lines was there ever a factory manuscript for a 1947 Ferrari racing Yearbook or was it just simply what 'they might have reported' for that season based on the historic details?

As far as I know there was never a factory manuscript for 1947 yearbook. The 'Libro di Corse' is a report on each race but no photos. The reports include practice times, technical information and results.

Nathan where do you think the motivation came from for Ferrari to do something even going back to the 1932-1934 edition? Was it a thank you to drivers and sponsors or was there something more patriotic involved in the Yearbooks?
