Glad to see they were allowed to have alcohol over there unlike on the podium.

Prior to the race all teams agreed that if possible, fia should do their best to finish the race in green flag conditions,

Synchronized swimming - same nonsense everywhere. They haven't mentioned the R word yet, but they're latching on to Max mentioning it was crazy and insane, and picking and choosing facts.

"Ultimately, the circumstances meant Masi played God in being the man who decided which way the championship went, as it depended entirely on that restart call"

Obvious BS as LH almost passed Max back without DRS.

"But then things deviated from the norm when Masi informed teams: "Lapped cars will not be allowed to overtake."
But shortly after a delayed radio message was played from Red Bull boss Christian Horner to Masi, urging him to clear the backmarkers, convention was again broken as on the penultimate lap only a select few cars were told to unlap themselves."

Anyone got a recording of the alleged "Lapped cars will not be allowed to overtake."?
During the conversation with Horner, Masi did not commit one way or another. He said he was focused on clearing the crash.

No mention of course of earlier recordings of Toto demanding Masi not use the safety car, complaining about Perez racing LH,
and later that "You need to" put the race back. The media is calling Masi out for telling Toto that it's a motor race, while overlooking Toto's lunatic demands.

Bernie called it - Max had to win not only against LH, but the MB media machine leveraging all the keywords.
    And he won.

Yes, of course. Disgusting but pathetic too. Disgusting because assuming Max would crash on purpose and pathetic because the author thinks anyone, especially Max, will care or be swayed by his biased comments.

Well fia went through this in 97 with fchat hero Michael Schumacher and I personally see max totally capable of doing that so I’m not that shocked;)

Autosport and HAM-supporting media trying to play G-d, seems to me. Not Masi.

    Completely disagree.

When and where did Verstappen crash on Lewis? “What if” he would crash is not an answer.

That’s what separate the greatest from the average drivers: they are as tough as they can without causing a collision. They leave to the overtaken driver the decision to cause the crash.

What's even more disgusting is that mershitdes cheat new motor behind spoiled brat's car and then called it an "old" one just to get a free pass over the engine rule penalties. Anyway this just exposes british media bias as an all round losers not only in the euro 2021 final but also in the f1 2021 season final race.

Does HAM running into Max at Copse ring a bell? Even Newey in his comments yesterday mentioned that and basically confirmed the origin of the bad blood between the two.

Disgusting piece of driving that day by HAM (channeling his ***** hero Senna) and almost killing a competitor. Didn’t read an open letter on dangerous driving then by Autosport, did you? Recall that he got a penalty for causing that accident.

HAM’s new retort now, BTW—“dangerous driving”—is really a case of “it takes one to know one”. Or he’s getting old.

Yep, the media should praise Masi for not caving to Toto's overt attempts to manipulate the race,
and deny the fans and all the kids out there the inspiration to realize their dreams - the real LH. ;)

The two things Max does that I’ve not seen any other driver do to that extent is never give up and his ability to stick his car in any opening and keep it together—it’s amazing. My brother said yesterday, he’s able to stick his nose anywhere he wants.

He beat HAM to pole by almost 0.4 (and was on track to do the same last week) in a car that was on average about 0.2 slower in the race. That difference was all him.

As a Ferrari fan I don’t think we’ll be able to compete with him next year even if even on cars. Hope I’m wrong, but don’t think so.

Not too sure why you get all agressive on me.
I am simply stating that over the course of his career max has been accustomed to such driving and additionally f1 saw such situation in 97 with Schumacher and wanted to prevent it.
It’s Max that drives more like my idol Senna NOT Lewis and that is also factual except Senna was a rain and quali master that I have not seen yet from anyone except maybe MS.

All cars unlapped themselves at imola if I recall, that is their contentious point.

"He’s the tonic F1 needed. He’s got speed, he’s got bravery, he’s got mental capacity.

When I interviewed him in Abu Dhabi last year, he impressed me enormously. He had an answer for everything.
Every time I hit the ball across the net, it came straight back with a clever answer and that really impressed me.
I felt I was talking to a lad who knew exactly where he was and where he was going."

The WDC didn't just fall out of the sky (duh). Max IS WDC.

Max outbrakes opponents, puts his car in the middle of the corner and if you don’t get out of the way you crash, that’s his way with Lewis which he was penalized for in Saudi Arabia…
If Lewis is certainly guilty of silverstone I don’t see how monza is not on him…

But why are we still discussing ? He is WDC!

A controversial one but not an unworthy one.

Id like to see his worth in the wet the real judge of greatness for ME.

Apologies if that came across as aggressive. Was just countering your assertion that Max crashing HAM was a certainty—it did NOT happen—whereas HAM crashing Max did. With serious consequences to Max.

  24. Natkingcolebasket69

Never said it was a certainty rather that his body of work in his career and manner he drove in Saudi Arabia combined with historical precedents in 97 made the fia worried it would happen again..

To me max is an amazing driver but he is dirty. I respect your opinions though on the new WDC Max Verstappen !

poor, poor Mercedes .... still throwing hissy fits and temper tantrums, i see. Zero class ... an embarrassment to the sport.

Crazy thought ... maybe someone representing Mercedes should read the sporting regs? Not just 48.12, of course ... but 48.13, and especially 15.3 (the "one ring to rule them all").

With each passing hour ... well after the race ... Mercedes proves, beyond all doubt, that the better man won the championship.
