Not at all, Verstappen closed easily on Hamilton in the first lap without the use of DRS.

Perhaps our definitions of "closed easily" are different, but I see Verstappen barely closing even while exiting on the back of Hamilton out of T5. By the end of the straight Max was still almost a full car length behind and then dive bombed into T6.

    Can’t compete with fresh rubber.

The one thing I like about max that I don’t see enough in Lewis is that Max doesn’t calculate. He just goes for it, even more so in the last race, last lap etc.
This is something I liked in Senna, Montoya, Kobayashi etc
    Hamilton is more prudent.

So what were Merc getting at here? Trying to contact the people directly to remove their posts so avoiding to plead publicly to do so? Or were they trying to intimidate them?

    This was funny:

+1. I’m not sure I get it either. Most Twitter threads dance on the edge of incoherence.

Did I read somewhere that hammy has been psychologically damaged by yesterday’s events?

This year, sure, but we are not very far removed from the years of race-long parade laps where everyone not Stoner, Lorenzo, or Marquez, each in their own years, were racing for P2 behind insane gaps to the aforementioned riders. Ducati, Honda, and Yamaha all had their year(s) of domination.

Speaking of Marquez, his... let's call them "aggressive passes" in his first few years remind me quite a bit of Verstappen.

It's the middle east, their entire culture revives around having strict rules then looking the other way any time it's beneficial ($$) to whoever's in charge.

Mercedes decided their championship when they didn't pit him, twice. Have a tissue.

If I watched the right replay, not only did HAM not pit and get passed by VER, BOT did not pit and got passed by both Alpha Tauris on the last lap, although I don't know that they pitted and passed BOT on new tires. Pretty good duel with GAS almost passing TSU too.
