Cancelled my 296 after seeing it, keeping F8

Also dont wanna be the first guy where the electonics take a dump mid corner and toque vector me into the scenery

 

By faster I mean the latest Ferrari has to offer. I cancelled my f8 just for that. As far as v8 goes to me I already have the best with my 355 so I didn’t care but I was close to keeping my order

I just can’t… the new car is fugli. Unless your an old fart those lines are not pleasing eheh.

 

The merits or otherwise of individual designs aside, that is a good thing and a welcome break from the loathsome trend of all cars from a particular manufactured looking like mild derivatives of the same base design.

 

I believe there is a common problem with the most recent designs, Roma, SF90, 296 and SP3. They all look good from the doors forward, and the rear of all of them look terrible.

I think it heavily depends upon how technology progresses.
All these cars are already too fast for the public roads. Using more tech to make them even faster is a complete waste IMO, but many are addicted to the internet racing stats.

When people really start to realize this the more emotional slower ICE cars will be madly desirable. So their value will be assured. The value of the “older tech” hybrid and EV will plummet.

 

Im definitely driving mine so its gonna depreciate no matter what. How bad, only time will tell

The Hybrid scares me. Too complicated. If they have a lot of problems look for people do dump them way before the warranty runs out.

 

I agree totally. It seems that Ferrari was finally getting over the stigma to the public that their cars were too frail and problem prone to justify the cost. Now with venturing into the complicated hybrid market if there are problems it could really hurt their standing in the new electric engine market.

I sat in the 296. Does any one else feel that the driving position is TOO reclined?
They made the overall height lower and reclined the driving position.

I feel like I am lying down in a bathtub in the 296. Just me?

I know I’m probably in the minority, but when they announced the 296 and said the V6 engine had over 600hp without the electric engine, I thought it would actually be cool to have a smaller, compact Ferrari just with that V6 come out at some point. At least for driving around the extremely narrow streets of Tokyo.
