Not sure exactly, I think the base price went up almost £6k to £296,780, [ Oct. this year, was when I finalised the spec.] and not sure if the extras went up as well.

Need some advice please. I placed my deposit for an 812 GTS in June and was told 18 months for delivery. Dealer was confident that I would get one and gave me an order number from Maranello. I also saw my spec show up in the app as waiting list. Now, reading through this thread, I am not as certain as I was in June about getting my car next year. Called my dealer just now and he says that I got my order in well before the stop production date so should be no problem. He said he had not heard anything regarding allotment limitations or orders taken that are not being fulfilled for this model. I remember him saying in June that Ferrari NA instructions were that they would build any orders accepted up until a cut off date.

I have a CPO 2017 488 Spider and this is my first experience ordering a new one so I still don’t understand how everything works. I imagine Ferrari NA would not want to string a customer along for the better part of a year with false hope of fulfilling an order?

Most likely you get your car. Peruse the forums in the 488/F8 order and general forums. The deal between the customer and the dealer is one aspect and the process is another with the FNA and the factory. If you were in the line in June, you’re likely fine. 18 months was incredibly optimistic and there were added delays for other reasons. It also depends on allocations and your dealer and your status with them……. Where are you and who are you dealing with?

Suggestion as much is out of our control- ask your sales manager where you are and what it is looking like in general in terms of their dealership and production times.

The reason these cars are so special is the pain borne in attaining them.

Thanks for the reply Scott! I have great rapport with my sales person Santo of Ferrari Las Vegas. He has been terrific. I have a long history with the Towbin dealership having purchased / leased multiple cars in the past (Maseratis). I am keeping my fingers crossed for sure! He is sounding very confident that I will get my car there is really no reason to doubt his word. I will inquire further about production times like you suggested. Vegas is a small market so there is that to consider too.

Do you know if you are 10g or 10r? I am guessing 10g as 10r is accepted and spec locked (including an allocation spot). With that said, I would also trust the dealer if you have a solid relationship, which it sounds like you do. I know my dealer would err on the side of caution if there was any doubt. Good luck! It’s an amazing machine

Should be about 5-6 months build I’d guess. Maybe June, ‘22?

No need yet but Dealer still confident about the 18 month timeline, I’m hoping I will get an allocation maybe July 2022 since I ordered in June 2021. Fingers crossed!

I’m pretty sure, if you ordered before the cut off date and your order is in MODIS, your order is ok. I’m not sure when production actually stops. I ordered mine a while back and did a virtual Tailor Made session which, didn’t give me what I wanted. I have booked another in person session at Maranello early April 2022 - covid permitting. Given my experience with the Superfast, it took approximately 12 months from that tailor Made session to when my car was completed. So I guess they’ll actually be producing the 812s for some time to come. So plenty of time to produce your car I suspect.

Doubt blue carbon - I think I’m going green. After my online session, I think they are preparing a couple of shade options. Carbon colours are problematic with Ferrari as they only have a limited colour range. So perhaps black will be the only one that works with green.

It was just a guess. I thought once a car went 10G it was about 5-6 months build time. I think it was close to that for my F12.

Well, I hope you get it quickly and in time for the summer and fall. I've had my deposit in since March of 2020 and went 10G back in October 2021. As of today its still 10G but it is possible Ferrari isn't updating the current status so I have no idea when its coming.

Damn! Maybe things at factory are much slower in this climate. Fingers crossed. I don’t want a car made during the last week of July prior to August shutdown...I think they’re all drunk on limoncello and not paying attention (bad experience with my July build F12).

Your thing might be good as to when they accept and start the build. My experience so far has been painfully slow and essentially no updates along the way. I am thinking its just going to be ready soon without any warning but who knows.
