Toto would be complaining about something else. Winners have plans. Losers have excuses. MB has been angling for what they're doing now throughout the season - trying to win through coercion, bringing the sport into disrepute. Anyone with an ounce of neutrality and spirit of competition can only conclude that MB has no one to blame but themselves. A constipated, lethargic, fearful team led by a caricature of a man, pleading for a favorable result. That last lap was abs. Schock & Awe - a masterful KO delivered by a talented driver and a dynamic team that NEVER SURRENDERED, despite having many questionable calls against them. Have some respect for the sport and real competition. Max and RB are LETHAL.
Max RB Lethal Looooooool!!!!!!!!!! Hamilton/Merc embarrassed RB the last 4 races. Ham outdrove Max the whole race. Horner himself said only God can save us after getting spanked the whole rac lol. You funny. lol!! If safety car had been done legally, it doesn't matter who the winner was. It would be settled and we wouldn't have new threads popping up everyday. Max was handed WDC.
WRONG, again (i've literally lost count how many times). First, as has been pointed out to you SEVERAL times ... Max won the season, not just the last race. Anyone can point to MANY rulings (from the stewards), over the course of the season, that were heavily biased in Hamilton's favor (even in the first lap of Abu Dhabi). The entire season was NOT decided in the last lap of the last race. That should be obvious to any fan of the sport. Second, Masi was acting ENTIRELY within the rules: 48.12, 48.13 and especially 15.3, which gives the race director absolute and final authority over the safety car. You can't say "rules were broken", just because your hero lost the championship. Hamilton LOST, Verstappen WON ... get over it already!! Or, go cry "foul" to people who can't (or won't) actually read the rules ... or to people who don't understand that the season is decided by many races, not just one ... maybe the ignorant will be more sympathetic to your woes.
Actually something along those lines happened today: Lewis did kneel in front of His (future) Majesty He already had the title, but Covid prevented the ceremony until now. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Keep banging your head against reality expecting a different result. This is racing: This is pathetic: No Mykll, No Mykll, nooooooo. Mykll, reinstate the race to where we were winning !!! Myyyykll !!!
Thats my whole point!! I'm glad you agree with me!! Yes the race director had final authority to break the rules of the safety car. And he did just that, he broke the rules. The rules were there and he had permission to break the rules. Safety car rules were well documented. But he used his authority to break the rules. Therefore gifting Max the championship.
Wow! great performance from Max! passing with new soft tires vs 40 lap old hards! Lewis raced all day. Max pitted all day. Go rejoice in Max's pitting performance.
I bet you can a have mean argument with yourself. I don't mean that in a bad way. I can see the advantages. You'll note that Toto the scoundrel didn't say the entire race was manipulated. He specifically asked that the race is rewound to precisely the point where MB was winning. If every team engaged in such outlandish demands, you'd have to acknowledge that it could be even more entertaining than arguing with yourself.
Oh ... My ... God - The RULES say that the Race Director has final and absolute authority and control over the safety car (15.3). - The very same RULES say that "any" cars will become unlapped (48.12) ... "any" and "all" are not synonyms ... not legally, not grammatically. - The championship was decided by a full SEASON of races, not just ONE ... and certainly not just one lap, of one race! It's literally like talking to a wall. Good luck getting the championship over-turned, in favor of your hero! bye-bye now
Couldn't lewis have pitted? Mercedes should have figured max was going to pit. Max would have stayed out and been on the hard tires and lewis would have been on softs, Lewis would have passed max the same way max passed lewis.
So why have the other two rules. ? 48.15 If the safety car is still deployed at the beginning of the last lap, or is deployed during the last lap, it will enter the pit lane at the end of the lap and the cars will take the end-of-race signal as normal without overtaking. just asking.
I can't believe some of you all were experts at identifying manipilation in the past, and now are confused. Let me break it down to you. The word any was manilpilated, by Masi/FIA. Let me inform you on how Masi constructed this to save his arse. Lapped cars are intended to unlap themselves. The argument is the word any does not mean all. Throughout the season all unlapped cars had the go ahead. "Any" meant "all". Now all a sudden "any" doesnt mean "all" anymore, says Masi. That was his escape. The rules state "each" car that acheived best time in Q2 has to use those tires to start the race. Does "each " mean "all"? Should teams try and start on whatever tire they want? Masi has used his power to manipilate the words. Therefore saving himself and gifting Max the championship.
Just saw that VET did a few donuts after the race! https://www.facebook.com/video.php?v=1073392313494954
Wonderful post, couldn't agree more. But let's not forget that the stewards DID give Hamilton a GIFT, on the first lap, by failing to penalize him for gaining a position by going off-track. But alas, despite their best efforts to keep Hamilton in contention, the stewards could only do so much to gift Hamilton the championship ... at the end of the day, Merc was simply out-played by RB.
The sc went into the pit at the end op lap 57. Lap 58 is the last lap. That rule is to do with the sc pitting on lap 58. See monaco gp in i think 2010 when the sc pitted so that they could have a "green" finish, Michael overtook alonso after the sc line. Thats when they implemented the "No overtaking" rule on that specific last few hundred meters sc pitting rule thing.
https://www.formulanerds.com/news/mercedes-fail-to-show-up-for-fia-pre-ceremony/ Classless pieces of ****. I don't own a merc. Have owned several. Merc corporate remarkably silent on their namesake F1 team. I wouldn't want to own one out of principle now. Shame that bmw are fugly now. Hello audi.
