    I am rebuilding the water pump from a 1959 Ferrari 250 PF Coupe and am having difficulty locating a new replacement ball bearing. It is classified as a deep groove bearing open on both sides.
    Dimensions;
    15 mm I.D.
    37 mm O.D.
    10 mm thickness (9 will do)

    Markings say it is a Fafnir 103K I have cross referenced it to a SKF 98202 which is no longer made.

    Any help would be deeply appreciated. I'm looking for a reliable bearing supplier in general, ideally someone with a stash of older bearings.

    This source shows having 98202 (15x37x9) in stock:

    but no idea if SKF or Chinese knock off. Another option would be to use an SKF 6003 17x35x10 and make an ID and OD spacer if the shoulders on the housing and shaft are big enough to still contact the bearing races (and not just the spacers).

    I've had the same problem before, but my car doesn't share your brand, but I use Single row angular contact ball bearings 7210-B-TVP-P5-UL, very good, hope you can help.The characteristic of double row angular contact ball bearings is that they can bear the combined load of radial and axial loads at the same time, and limit the axial displacement of the shaft in both directions. Compared with two-way thrust ball bearings, this bearing has a higher limit speed, a contact angle of 32 degrees, good rigidity, and can withstand large overturning moments.
    Take it if you can use it.https://en.tradebearings.com/7210_B_TVP_P5_UL-395008.html

    I too have an inside plug car from 1958. Do have a number of various bearings, gaskets, etc I’ve accumulated over the years. I’ll check to see what I have. I do have a number of various gaskets, rings, other bearings, extra parts. Do also have a couple of extra original brake drums, I believe front left and right…
    Various mousetrap springs for 4 cylinder and 12 cylinder motors. Also some Lamprey stuff.
    I’ll check on that bearing for you…

    Thank you for your response. We were able to find a bearing in the UK.
    I’m now restoring an outside spark plug 250 PF Coupe and will keep you in mind if I need something unusual
