True but I also think Horner is not far off… who will want to supply rbr engines in the future ? Not Merc, not Renault and not Ferrari. Not ideal. And we saw what developing your own engine did to Williams in 98 with mechacrome: Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
RedBull already have an engine currently with help from Honda and ex-Mercedes engineers. IF and when Porsche or Audi commit, I can see Porsche or Audi "slapping" their name on the engine for 2026.
Same thing Williams said in 98 with help of Renault so u are validating my concern Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
You can't compare 98 at Williams to what's been happening with RedBull and their engine facility with help from Honda and ex-Mercedes engineers.
How can I not? Mechacrome was helping Williams engineers with former Renault engine. Renault engine which was arguably one of the most dominant of all times. So I certainly allow myself the comparison and I will add that unlike frank Williams Horner has pissed off renault, Mercedes so it better work otherwise he will be the first one to be blamed. You just don’t, in business, do what he did with Renault or Merc…McLaren didn’t and guess what happened ? They got a Merc engine back and their performance came back. They were smart about the break up, Horner has not been subtle… so I hope for him it works. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
That’s a different story and u may be right) I’m just drawing parallels… I don’t pretend to know the future ) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I just realized no one will be posting any pics of ham in some ridiculous wardrobe at the FIA Gala. Max's win is indeed a win for us all.
He played so many mind games with Nico, come on. How about throwing the hat at Nico after the win?? He always acts like he super cool and nothing bothers him, until it does.
Here's an interesting analysis of the drivers in 2021. Thoughts? https://f1-analysis.com/2021/12/14/2021-f1-mathematical-driver-rankings/
Using British: that’s rubbish. You can say condescending, cocky, but mentally superior ? Why ? Because he is living his rapper wanna be lifestyle dating models? Because he got hair implants? Again- you don’t like him that is totally fine, I don’t like max…. But mentally superior ? The dude just comes across with a set of passions and views people don’t like- which I also get- but he never acted to me like he is better than the Schumacher, Senna’s or smarter than anyone. This last race. Hamilton absolutely dominated Abu Dhabi. If you are a pure racing fan you would see that.
I was being facetious. I would put it to you that it was a motor race. Motor racing is dangerous, unpredictable and subject to so many variables that it is impossible to predict the outcome. Lewis's cards simply didn't fall his way on Sunday, for the same reason they did in other championship years of which he won. Question, if motor racing additionally requires strategy input on behalf of the driver, why didn't he also pit like Max did? Or simply drive faster on the last lap? Lewis had the same opportunities as Max on that lap. If you're a Lewis fan, then I totally get the discontent that one would feel about last Sunday. But it appears the race was run within the regulations and Mercedes appeared to have withdrawn their action which suggests they do not believe the governing body has a case to answer.
That was not a motor race. That was entertainment. I wasn't much of a Lewis fan, but I am now. I initially was rooting for Max to win the race. But no, not after that ending. That was a deliberate set up to have Lewis and Max race wheel to wheel over the last lap. And since one driver had a massive tire advantage, that makes the ending farcical. End of story.
Incorrect, Max won , fair and square , that punk toto wanted Louis to win under the yellow, its that simple. Having a tire advantage is what all these teams strive for , race after race . MB left LH out on tires that Pirelli said would last 50 laps, that did not happen, and so they lost. RB took a chance that there might me a safety car, and there was, so they put fresh tires on, not once , but twice, that strategy worked, and they won , fair and square. I know you Louis fans would have loved the race to be determined under a yellow, INSTEAD OF ONE OF THE BEST AND MOST EXCITING FINISHES IN F1 HISTORY !! lol All F1 fans should be grateful with such a finish, are you kidding me ? Thank you Thank you
OK, I'm missing something here. Racing wheel to wheel is what they're supposed (And paid a lot of money) to do. Would you have been more of an F1 fan had the race been declared a lap early or under the safety car? With regards to the tyre advantage, that opportunity was also open to Lewis. Red Bull made the call, and it was the right one as it turns out.
So winning requires changing the rule book? Max did not win that fair and square. If the were even remotely true, there wouldn't be an uproar by the media at large.
Well, they could have, however Lewis chose not to, or rather, his team did. As I mentioned earlier, Lewis could have changed his tyres, he simply did not. There's not a separate tyre rule, one for Max and one for Lewis.............
Wrong, if the rules were truly broken , wolf would have not withdrawn there protest, good grief. LH will never win another title, karma is real, and although his behavior was graceful at the end of the race, not attending the gayla, and whatever else, like not being happy for all his success. They did win the constructors, didnt they ? I think that is a very good reason to celebrate !! But no, nothing but a team being pissed off , bunch of cry babys. There was a time that all Ferrari cared about was the constructors, they could care less about the drivers title, it was just icing on cake . Maybe MB should pull their heads out of there asses, and get a clue, they won the last 8 constructors titles !! Why no smiles ??? Thank you
