It's funny watching the bleating from the Lewis fans. What they're really saying is that it's not fair that Lewis had to race to win....it should have been handed to him behind the safety car. Lewis knew not pitting for new tyres was the wrong call. Well done to him being a step ahead of the team. Usually it's the other way around. Plus they're complaining that the lapped cars behind max not being released was unfair....if it was unfair, it was unfair to sainz.....not max or Lewis. Hilarious. The bias is stopping them from thinking clearly, and forgetting all the good luck Lewis had this year, and the bad luck max had, including being punted off by Mercedes twice! Deal with it. OLIO
From a PR & marketing point of view, it was a great way to end the season, with a convenient controversy to keep F1 in the news over the December to March break. Count on articles appearing in January rehashing the arguments. Mercedes appealing via the courts would be perfect for the run up to the start of the 2022 season.
If true, then as predicted by Horse. MB won't want to be associated with that. I knew there was a reason I seek his counsel from time to time. [emoji206]
Max's ability to brake later than Lewis is outstanding. The Merc clearly has more traction and grunt on corner exit, but not as much front end grip for braking. The moment Lewis realised he wasn't going to be able to pass Max, he was on the radio playing politics "this is being manipulated man"
