The Red Bull Wing was not illegal. It passed all the FIA's load tests. The same as the Mercedes ultra flexible front wing. Only the FIA chose to change the testing on the rear wings, but ignored the front wings.

Duct tape on the rear wing is not illegal. Besides this was a performance disadvantage. Teams stopped painting the leading edges and underside of the front wings because paint chips were disrupting the airflow. Slapping on some duct tape is certainly not ideal for the team. Regardless, it wasn't illegal.

Why would Red Bull get disqualified for anything since nothing they did was illegal?

Mercedes got a DQ for a straight forward technical infringement. It cost Lewis virtually nothing, what's the big deal. It's not the FIA being evil to Mercedes, it's Mercedes responsibility to ensure it stays legal.

As it turns out, Masi's SC decisions were within the rules. I don't think they were done right, but the 1-2 positions were in the correct spot at the green flag. It may have spoiled some racing for other cars outside the top 2, but Max and Lewis were correctly in position to RACE for the win. Lewis did a poor job, Max had better tires and passed for the win.

The FIA have done a lot more to help Lewis than Red Bull this year, you just refuse to see it.

Are you saying the great designers at Mercedes f1 made a revolutionary illegal wing that is 0.2mm lower on one side. One can only wonder how big the gains were per lap...LOL
If you're allowed to repair your wing and play with duct tape isn't that an illegal part or wing as well? How big was the gap before the repair?
Why not give Mercedes the opportunity to fix or a more reasonable penalty?
You just refuse to see that they stopped at nothing to make sure LH doesn't reach #8 including not following simple FIA Safety Car rules that have been in place for as long as I can remember watching F1.

LOL. Well, it’s a technical sport and technical infringements are well, TECHNICAL. 2mm is 2mm. The same as how they HAVE to have a minimum amount of fuel left to sample after the race. If it’s not the minimum amount they’re in violation and disqualified like Vettel was from Hungary. You see the have to make sure the machine can hold to the regulations. It’s the teams responsibility. See, it’s not a difficult concept to understand, for most.

Seems like you don't even know the difference between 0.2mm and 2mm. 0.2mm is the thickness of a folded sheet of paper. The question wasn't about the 0.2mm but I can see why you're getting confused and don't even know that 0.2mm is 10x less that 2mm. The question is how did RB get away with all of their repairs if the rules are so strict that a person with a scratch on their paint gets disqualified at the most critical part of the championship?

I doubt 0.2mm made any difference, doesn't make it legal. I am saying Mercedes is to blame for that, nobody else. They claim damage, but the wing wasn't hit. If it couldn't take the loads, well then its still their fault. RBR is at fault for having structure issues and DRS issues on their rear wing, but they still passed the tests. They still allowed Mercedes to change wings, but it again doesn't change that it was found illegal. You don't give a team "a chance to fix" something that fails tech without giving a penalty. Seb didn't get a chance to add more fuel in Hungary.

I refuse to see the FIA stopped at nothing to give LH his 8th because I, and every other none LH fan saw the opposite. There is simply more evidence that supports that.

You can continue to blame 1 incident that was technically within the rules. You can ignore that the procedure in place is to let lapped cars by, not prevent them from going passed for no reason. You can dwell on the ALL vs ANY all day long even though it makes NO difference as in any situation of cars unlapping themselves (standard practice), Max lines up right behind Lewis.

I don't expect to change your mind, regardless of the facts and examples put forth. Quite frankly, I am sure I would be up in arms complaining about the FIA favoring Lewis had he won the championship. I just believe I would have more solid examples than you have.

There wasn't enough time. Proper procedure was to unlap all and it wouldn't matter if MV was behind LH because it would have ended under SC. 2nd thing he could have done is leave everyone in place and race for the last lap. 3rd was red flag the race and do a standing start.

Anyway, I'm sure you know all of this and everyone knows it was stolen but obviously if you hate LH or just support MV you would never admit it.

If all lapped cars were instructed to pass Lewis yes Max would be behind Lewis at the earliest before the end of lap 57 or maybe even into lap 58,then the safety car has to so another lap before coming in at the end of lap 58 (last lap) in which case no overtaking before the start finish line ...so Lewis wins .Not Max .

Exactly. They all know it very well but this is their excuse along with MB should have pitted. Which we also know wouldn't work because Masi would never break SC rules for Hamilton plus if he did how would he pass Max with exact same tires less heat and one lap without DRS. It was a lose lose situation when director is manipulating and changing his mind 3 times in last 3 laps.
I don't blame LH haters and MV supporters though. What are they going to do, admit that it was stolen?

Lewis lost on a strategic mistake this race. They didn't pit. They had time. They played it safe, lewis didn't defend well, and lost the title. Get over it.

Accused and ridiculed? We dont get a lot of legit brand new users coming in hot like that so I asked, you said no, I said good and put the obvious troll on ignore. If you'd said yes I'd not have done the last bit. :)

    What's the problem?

Lap 56: No cars allowed to unlap because it wasn't yet safe
Lap 57: Certain cars allowed to unlap because of time constraints and FIA AND teams desire to finish under green flag
Lap 58 the race was already underway so your timeline of events is wrong there.

Regarding brazil quali DSQ, nothing to do with race fixing, everything to do with Mercedes not adhering to the technical regulations. It couldn't be more clear cut a DSQ!

Rules where still adhered to, I know we keep repeating it and it falling on deaf ears, but the rules stipulate the race director has the power to override if deemed neccesary. To make sure the race finished under green flag as was strongly desired by teams and the FIA, there was only time to unlap certain cars. It was safe to do so.

You're better off paying attention where Lewis lost the title, and that's binning it in Baku after he was gifted a minimum of 18 points, tried to make it 25 and threw it all away in the space of a hundred meters.

    Good day!

Curious, if the teams were flipped, would this still be your contention?

You seem to be ok with the rules being broken, ok with the rules being ambiguous, ok with the rules being sh*t, as long as Max wins.

I personally don’t care if Max wins. I call bulls***t when I see it.

Lol, I literally just said that the rules weren't broken yet you interpret it as the opposite.

Max and Red Bull had been taking hits from FIA all season long against them. Even this very race lewis was allowed to take a huge advantage by cutting the track, and the FIA said it was ok...yet a week before it the same offense meant a 5 second penalty AND giving up the place. So even IF the rules where broken (which they weren't), Max finally had a bit of luck. Fact of the matter is Lewis wouldn't even be in contention anymore if it wasn't from the FIA meddling when it suited them and even more, turning a blind eye when it suited Mercedes.

So according to you Masi was lying when he said all lapped cars must pass during the Eiffel GP.
