Hey Matt, Thanks, loving flicking through the books, will read over Christmas. Because I bought the black leather limited edition version and not the red leather extra limited, extra expensive version it doesn't come with the print. The red books of both SD and APFM were limited to 30 copies, black "standard" versions to 200. And with The Birth the colours swapped... black leather very limited, red version was the "standard" edition.
I couldn't tell you, my three books came without the cardboard outers. I spoke to a few "experts" and all agreed a mint matching low number set was worth buying over three random numbered books with outer boxes so I pulled the trigger. Many cartons found their way into the recycling bin upon opening but if you stumble across any in your travels let me know.
That is great info. I had never seen the print, but now that I think about it I had only seen black leather books. Thanks!
This is a great reference to see the various versions of the books that were available to purchase. https://www.nathansferrarishop.com/store/-c42709034

I couldn't find it mentioned here yet: "Adventures in Ferrari-Land" by Ed Niles will be published on March 1, 2022 by Octane Press according to their website. Their will be a cloth-bound standard edition https://octanepress.com/book/adventures-ferrari-land-set-ed-edwin-niles and a leather-bound collector's edition https://octanepress.com/book/adventures-ferrari-land-special-edition-set-ed-edwin-niles Image Unavailable, Please Login
Thank you! I’ve been wondering what was happening with this. It was mentioned, but not in the book thread.
Where is that company located? UK? USA? What is their address? And once again they don't deliver to Switzerland........I tried to order thru their website, doesn't work. Does anybody have contact details for these people? Email? Marcel Massini
This is clearly a USA based website and publisher with no connection with Octane Magazine, they apparently did not bother to see if the name was already used in automotive publishing...as clumsy as it gets. Office in Austin, Texas, warehouse in Wisconsin. Contact button right at bottom. I would however enjoy reading it and badgered Ed numerous times about doing this book. Initially he was very hesitant so it is very satisfying to know that everyone's encouragement had the desired effect.
I received this link on Friday https://girardo.com/features/here-s-your-exclusive-extract-from-our-forthcoming-ferrari-550-prodrive-book It a book written by Keith Bluemel on the Prodrive-built 550 Maranellos, I cannot see any other posts on this topic but apologies if it has been covered before. My only interest is that I have supplied a few photos as I was the snapper for Care Racing at the time. Another book to look forward to. More shelf space required.... Compliments of the Season to all who lurk here.
Are you sure? You can enter a Swiss address (I tried!). Shipping would be $65.14. Same as to Germany. I didn't preorder yet. I don't think it's necassary to pay 2 or 3 months (at least) before shipping. Maybe for the leather-bound edition. If you register to the newsletter you get a 10% discount on the book.
Entering country name Switzerland does not mean that they ship to Switzerland. I did try all that several times and am getting the message that coupon code is not valid for Switzerland. Whatever that means. Marcel Massini
I’ve been aware of their titles but the subject matter didn’t compel me to buy or to investigate the publisher. Some of their books have been reviewed on Speedreaders.info I’m glad to see that another small US publisher exists, and produces books on our favorite thing.
Then order from somewhere else like Amazon or the Book Depository or any of the specialist sellers who will surely stock it.
Excellent service, that is exactly the kind of US initiative that facilitates life. I had a mailbox in a private mail store in Florida for 15 years and whenever I was there, whatever the challenge, they coped brilliantly with a smile, the best American professionalism. I miss that very badly here in France where private post offices would never be allowed as the unions would be up in arms. Instead, like in much of Europe or at public US Post offices, you have to deal with nine to fivers who give you a dirty look when you arrive with a challenging package...
Thanks for the tip. I might try this. Presumably I would save some shipping costs when purchasing books from the U.K.
I just read Speedreaders.info’s very positive review of IMSA 1969-1989. It looks like Octane Press will be worth following for interesting titles in the future. I’ve seen no information about any forthcoming books from David Bull’s company following his unfortunate death, so perhaps Octane Press will help to fill that void.
The official 2021 Ferrari Yearbook (and also TOFM #53 of December 2021) has factory print number 7414/21, and order #95998286. A red Daytona Sp3 is on the cover. Marcel Massini
