    Friends and neighbors-

I have a completely stock 78 308 GTS that I’m thinking about using for track days/performance driving education.
Has anyone out there done this, and does anyone have suggestions for brake pads?

    Any suggestions would be appreciated,
    Tom B

IMO, you can't beat Pagid for race pads. I haven't tracked my 328, but I have a lot of experience tracking 911s and I've always found Pagid pads to perform the best.

I spent 15 years tracking my Porsche with around 100 track events over that span of years. The pads I used were Hawk Blues, racing pads. Great pads but rough on wheel finish.

Any other point of view for 328 ? I track my 328 time to time and I burned the pad and veiled my front brake disc once, I want to kept original system and caliper but which pad to have any more problems next time ?

Sorry to hijack the thread. But does anyone know at what brake disc thickness it's better to buy new rather than skimming ?

Minimum thickness is stamped on the rotors.
